Interview with Greg Zeschuk

It looks increasingly likely that Mythic will be working on SW:TOR but Bioware won't be working on WAR.

WAR is a wretched abortion of a game, why would you ever waste bioware's time with such complete and utter trash?

lol Warhammer would benefit greatly from BioWare. Maybe we'd see some interesting lore and story elements to the game.

Argh, the article had horrible news for me at least, Dragon age wont release until 23rd october.

As for Mythic, they do have a new boss and he will probably make some changes about the way WAR is. But that will take a few months.

Hopefully he will turn WAR more into the wonderful lore from Warhammer, but I doubt that he will move any full time employees from Bioware to Mythic.

Well this could only mean good news for Mythic because the only way they can go is up.

BioWare has told Eurogamer that Mythic Entertainment will "without a doubt" help out on Star Wars: The Old Republic, as there are "absolutely opportunities to share and learn" within the newly formed RPG/MMO group.

As for BioWare helping Warhammer Online, however, co-founder Greg Zeschuk is not so sure.

To quote the most relevant part. It's pretty clear the intention has been to get Mythic to work on SW:TOR , not the other way around.

EA and BioWare can now be sure that I WON'T be purchasing SW:TOR

Not when they are stealing from Mythic. I have some very strong words for the new Head and creative director of the "MMO/RPG Group". It has to do with sexual intercourse and having it with themselves.

    Electronic Arts...destroyer of games.

I can agree with that.  Pretty much every MMORPG (Warfail, UO, Earth & Beyond, etc...) and any other gaming genres (Sim City series, Spore, etc...) they get their grubby mitts on they destroy.  Hell, Spore was supposed to be this grandiose game... epic of the epic... EA is the only company that I know of that could turn 2005 Spore (which would've been extremely successful) into the current POS game of Spore.  EA... the destroyer of games.

That's why the only interest I have in SW:TOR is to see how badly EA and Lucas Arts can destroy Bioware's reputation with this game.  I mean, EA already destroyed Mythic's reputation with Warfail Onl... err... Warhammer Online.  The likelihood of them doing it to Bioware is quite high.

I actually see this as a good thing.  One thing I really liked about WAR was the open part system and the way that they handled forming groups/warbands.  I wouldn't mind them helping TOR incorporate some of those ideas.  Then again - I really hope they stay away from some of the more boring ideas of WAR.  There are things that can be learned here though.
