I been foolin around with GTA4, again. Mass Effect, Civ4, and Oblivion. Also trying to get a bit further into Two Worlds...but all 'Thous' and "Thees" really get too annoying fast. Also a few MMO betas. Just waiting for Dragon Age to come out.
Originally posted by evilgreen5 By the way, how is the witcher? I've been comtemplating buying it since the enhanced edition just got released for sale on steam.
Awesome
I'm actually on my third play through, and it's as much fun as the first time through.
I take that back, it's even more fun this time since they fixed a few issues, redid the voice acting, included more of the script, and uncensored the naughty bits.
GTA IV, Civ IV, Mass Effect, Fallout 3, TF2, Age of Wonders: Shadow Magic, WoW. I was looking to get into CoD4, but I think I'll just wait until Modern Warfare 2 comes out.
Vault-Tec analysts have concluded that the odds of worldwide nuclear armaggeddon this decade are 17,143,762... to 1.
Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood (just finished it). Great game and a pity theres not more like it. Getting sick of all the war FPS games, was good to have a western for a change.
You guys should try some of the Half-Life2 mods. Age of Chivalry is awesome, kind of like endgame mmo with swords, javelins, maces etc. There are several other really good mods like Dystopia (sci-fi mech type with Tron like VR), and Insurgency (sort of a CS clone that doesn't suck), and Eternal Silence which is like a Star Wars ship to ship fighter where you can get out and invade the opposing forces mothership. Really great stuff. There is also the Fakefactory Cinematic mod V10 for HL2 and the episodes. It adds high resolution textures and new character and object models and maxes out what the game engine can do. You had better have a beefy system to try this one though as it's super demanding and if you don't have enough ram it'll crash your system trying to cram in all the stuff. Fakefactory recommends Vista64 since it can use more than 3 gigs of ram but my system plays it fine with Vista32 recognizing 3.2 gigs of ram.
age of chivalry was a bit too slowpaced for me, i like UT games so that explains it i guess. i like Pirates, Vikings, Knights II more.
i hated insurgency, everyone camping, dead in one shot, teams look alike so ive been teamkilled a lot by triggerhappy ppl
theres also Fistful of Frags (hl2 mod), a wild west shooter.. its pretty cool.. some ppl play it.
MMOs currently playing: - About to play: Lord of the Rings Online Played: Anarchy Online (alltime favorite) and lots of f2p titles (honorable mentions: 9Dragons, Martial Heroes, Dekaron, Atlantica Online)
Just got into Warhammer over the last month so haven't played anything else since. Just before that I put GTA4, Prototyp CSS and TF2 on hold til I get bored.

30 Y old ,with quad core pc..Point is can u name one rpg equal in quality ,gameplay and immersion to baldur's gate ,pool of radiance ,temple of elemental evil ,black crypt? i ll go and gladly buy it
Well, recently I got reaquainted with some offline gaming, when my dog chewed through the DSL line one evening. (You have evaded A_Long_Story!)
I reinstalled The Sims 2 Deluxe and University, which I hadn't really played before. I've only played the vanilla Sims 2, but my son left these games here when he moved out, so... Yeah. I had almost forgotten how much I love torturing guiding little virtual people. Nightlife is interesting. I haven't really used University yet. (Why, yes. I am female. XD )
I also reinstalled Fable, but I haven't gotten very far in it this time. I find that game pretty replayable, since there are quite a few things that one can do differently the next time.
I had the thought that if I could find my NWN Platinum or Morrowind, I'd like to play Morrowind and make a module for NWN... But I didn't look around that hard before we got a new phone line.
My husband recently picked Space Empires V out of a bargain bin, and I have sort of enjoyed that here at "work" tonight. (Work is in quotation marks because a D&D group has our shop for the night, and all I have to do is sit here and make sure they don't trash the place, and maybe sell them something if one of them is in a spending mood.)
I can actually afford new games at this point, but when I go to look at them, I don't really see anything that jumps out at me. I find myself standing in front of the shelf thinking, "is that worth $40/$50 to me?" and generally answering, "Not if it doesn't wash dishes." I guess I am jaded... Or it could be that the only games I really follow anymore are MMORPGs, and I almost never even look for the retail boxes on those unless forced to.
There's a SimCity/SimSocieties box at Wal-mart for about $20 that caught my eye, but I can't even bring myself off of $20, even though I know SimCity4 is probably a solid bet for me. So sad. (LOL)

I've been playing NWN2. Although I didn't enjoy the game as much as the original, there are some incredible mods, that MUST be played. (if you enjoy the NWN system).
I've been getting back into offline PC games, although it seems to be harder to find RPGs. Maybe its just me
