Feedback on New RolePlaying Site

We have an in character roleplaying social network which we have set up at http://www.RolePages.com

I am looking for any feedback that I can get as to how to improve the site, problems you might find with it, or really anything wrong that I might not be picking up on.

I probably shouldn't say this but you should feel free to be brutal. Its the only way we can learn to improve

Also... if anyone has anything nice to say... I wouldnt mind hearing that either

Quite an interesting page.  I like what I have seen so far.

A suggestion - potentially one to tie in to MMOs (since you posted it on this site) is to make a forums section about roleplayers in games or RP guilds.  Give a chance for players and guilds who want to RP to link up in an area of your forums.  That way RP'ers don't have to siphon through the guild links to see which ones RP, they are goign to a site that assures that quality for them.

    Just an idea.

That's a great idea. Tell me if this answers you or is a possible solution for your suggestion.

We have a feature on the site called groups, or worlds http://www.rolepages.com/groups  That section allows members to create their own mini groups, which can include a seperate forum, a wall, an rss feed, pictures, videos, etc etc

If anyone coming from another game wants to create a world to represent their group, their clan, their species, or even the game world itself we welcome and encourage them to do that. In this way you can take the overall socvial network, and divide it up into smaller spaces for whatever your personal needs are.

Thanks for the feedback, let me know if this feature answers your question, or if you still think a seperate forum section would be helpful.

    It looks a bit dull.

It should look more "roleplayish", imo.

Look around on other roleplaying sites for inspiration.

It's not bad for a site using a default site build template.  Do what you want with it, it's your site enjoy it!

    Momo sucks, I have proof.

Do you have any examples of sites that you find particularly attractive? We started off going with a darker theme, more catered to dark fantasy and fiction, but have since expanded into a wide variety of genres. I would love to see any examples of sites that you find attractive, so that we can find inspiration for our own

I do think that the groups area would be a great place for it.  Quite interesting.  If groups were to be built inside the "game worlds", like Warhammer or Aion (for example), then the guilds could meet and interact over the boards just as they would in game.  It could also give the players a way to meet up and "join" clans or factions who they know will be RP'ers.

As another suggestion was made, making your site more RP-ish could be a step up too, if that is something you desire.  You could have pics like castle gates to to go to a certain realm or something, making your site more interactive (I guess that is the word I'm looking for.)

    Keep up the great work!

Looks good, maybe change the template though. It looks very standard.

Apart from that great looking site and great idea :)
