Pros
- Distinctive classes with unique features.
- Scenarios and open RvR (Realm Vs Realm / PvP) are easily accessible.
- Generally balanced classes.
- PvP is satisfying and rewarding. Players can reach the level cap and receive quality gear by pure PvE, pure PvP, or a mix of both.
- Battle Objectives, Keeps, and City battles are definitely a refreshing focus on PvP.
- Public Quests are easily accessible and innovative way of providing a solid and rewarding group experience.
- Tome of Knowledge provides the player with a rewarding way to track his or her achievements.
Cons
- Crafting and gathering system seems boring and almost useless.
- Graphics and animations are poor and below the visual standard of MMOs.
- PvP can get quite repetitive and boring when there isn't anyone fighting back in open RvR, and the player is stuck doing the same three scenarios over and over to level up.
- There isn't enough of a variety of gear. All of the gear looks the same for each class, and everyone ends up wearing tier gear, restricting character customization.
- Talent specs follow one single path, further restricting character customization.
I always love criticism. I'd like to hear what you think of my review. Please post a response!

I agree with most of your Op.
The PQ, ToK and leveling with pvp and pve is a good thing.
I just wished they would have polished system stability and the PVE aspect of the game.
If you're going to have PVE shit like quests, dungeons and raids they better be on par with what mmo players are used to.
As of right now WAR has the worst pve out of the newer mmos. Wow, Lotro and AoC. That is a deal breaker for me and makes the game limited.

Thanks much for the feedback.
hmm, are you sure you were playing WAR?
Aion v3 "RELOADED" - A glimpse into the future of the MMO genre
It's more of my personal opinion. I'm trying to compare it to other games. Take WoW for example. Battlegrounds are repetitive, Open PvP objectives (Hellfire Peninsula, EPL) are pointless and easy to take, and Wintergrasp and city raids are useless and downers. It feels like just 40 people beating on a few walls and NPC's, whereas with WAR, I feel that they provide much more of a challenge.
So... in comparison you consider them epic...
But in itself, did you feel the city siege was epic? That's certainly not what most people seem to consider the city siege. At least not to compared to what they were expecting of it.
Just saying since it seems a bit misleading. Better PvP than WoW does not instantly mean it's epic.Compared to Daoc for instance I'm sure a lot of people would consider Daoc a much more epic experience. (albeit a horrid one in the 1fps years xD)
Alright, I personally think city sieges were pretty epic. Burning down Altdorf definitely is exhilarating. Sacking is pure fun. Taking out the king was a satisfying resolution. You could compare it to DaoC, but in that sense it would be completely opinionated. I personally thought WAR's PvP was much more exciting than most of the mainstream MMOs these days. I thought the whole "beat down some walls then kill some NPCs" system followed by games like WoW, and AoC, were a bit tedious as opposed to WAR. I'm willing to compromise. I'll change the post. "As opposed to "extremely epic," I'll throw in, "a refreshing focus on." does that sound more reasonable?
My biggest problem with WAR, is that everyone in T4 looks the same. We all have the same looking weapon, shield and armour. I want to customise my character, allow us to have multiple choices of armour designs, along with new models designs for weaponry and armour.
Well, phrase it any way you like, it's your opinion after all ^^ Just giving my opinion on it
Where do you knock down walls in WoW to kill NPC's after though? Neither Wintergrasp nor Strand of the Ancients has you killing NPC's.If anything WAR is the game with the knock down X (X being door x2 instead of Wall) and kill some npcs (one).
(actually I do believe there are a few npcs running around in wintergrasp but you hardly even notice them)
I love WoW and even I will say that the pvp mechanics in WAR are much better. I've been waiting forever for WoW to give me open pvp with meaning and they tosses me one zone. Even if that one zone is fun and polished I still would like it to be more like WAR.
Also I find WARs SC's a refreshing change from WoWs BG's and Arenas. Where WAR drops the ball is with it's pve its a glaring issue that I couldn't get around. The dungeon and raid systems are very bland and uninspired. While certain Pve aspects like ToK and PQs are fun WAR doesn't have the sub numbers to make PQs worthwhile.
I may be one of the only players that actually enjoyed the artistic style of WAR, I loved the Greenskin and Dark Elf zones. I also found the animations and combat to be very good. It was the client stability that totally killed it for me.
I see no reason why WAR should stutter like a bitch while I stand alone in a quest hub. What a game breaker.
Since Mythic is re-skinning the Armor maybe they will also fix my other issues like stability, crafting,Pve quests, dungeons and raids.
If they do all that I may sub to WAR again. As of right now I have a much better game to play that may be inferior pvp wise, is still leaps and bounds ahead of WAR in pve and I would rather a game with good pvp and awesome pvp than a game with bad pve and awesome pvp.
