Well i quit WoW about 4 months ago and have never looked back..

Anyway on the recent announcement of the expansion i was going to take a gander and renew my account at some point.. so i checked my armory too see my gear.. when i see my character has been.. changed.

Some of my gear is gone and my mining is up to 450 when i left it at 220.. so i try to log in and i can't.. seems like someone found out my password and took my account.. they even changed the goddamn email so i can't get it back.

I'm not bothered to tell you the truth i just never in a million years thought someone would actually 'hack' it.

anyway it's all rather amusing and i just needed to vent to someone... i'm just glad i'm waiting for FFXIV and not a die hard WoW fan anymore. ;]

 

sigh.. would have liked to have the option to go back.. but oh well

Yup, call blizzard, you will more than likely be able to get your character back, but it could take a week or more for them to sort it out and get it back to its original state you left it in! 

 

 

...and you should buy one of their security tokens for added account defense!

     I keep hearing players,usually kids,saying they were hacked. It seems to be epidemic. I have played 4 years and never been hacked.  Just what risky behavior are these players doing to allow someone to get to their accounts. I am convinced that they must be sharing their password with another living creature. Or is it like Jason Bourne is taking the trouble to use high-tech espionage to crack some idiot kid's peewee video game code?

all you need to get your acc back is your cd key and if you have that then youl get it back and if you realy where hacked the guy who spent time using your acc will feel like he was the one who got hacked lol just like my steam acc where the retard had bought stuff on it and when i got it back it felt good

yah happened to me ... about 3 months ago someone decided to hack my accounts (mine and the gfs) and got banned for doing it.

This hacker moved gfs main to a different server took out all of our Money and stuff in our guild and got rid of it all.

I called (which took me 3 days to get a non busy signal ) and told them that i wanted to start it back up but WTF ... there was no fuse or anything ... 5hrs later i had my accounts ready for play

you dont need the serial number or anything just make sure your the person on the account.
