if 958MB on my computer is still going to work with Aion's minimum requirements of 1GB DDR Memory?  Its so silly that my PC cover says 1 GB on it but when I run CCleaner on it it says 958 MB on it.  Will this affect my ability to play Aion at all or it will be unplayable???  Any news would be so helpful!!!

(I know I could just easily get more memory but I just wanna know if it could still work without spending more than I need to...)

A little hard to say... it SHOULD work but I dont know the rest of your PC specs

Your video card would be the real bottle neck - not the RAM

That said - ram is dirt cheap these days... I'd recommend using 2 GB - but to answer your question, if you have an able vid card and decent CPU you could still likely run it (although on low settings)

The worst thing is, running a game with low memory might spoil your fun from long loading time.

On memory point of view, the more the better. You won't get wrong on installing more memory.

You have 1 gig of ram btw, just doesn't present it right. You should get more ram, with an operating system eating up ram and who knows what else.

I'd say get new Ram. It'll make your overall Aion experience much more fun imo so its well worth the money you'll spend. Ram is probly the cheapest part of your PC to upgrade.   :-)

CCleaner frees space on your harddisk, it does not help with your ram.

1GB ram is very very very little. People had 1gb ram maybe 5 years ago or even earlier. To play games smoothly, you need 2gb at least, more is better. Depends on your operating system how much ram it can actually use, but 2GB is really the minimum today. And ram is very cheap nowadays.

1gb? Wow... that you can still play games with that...

Let's play Fallen Earth (blind, 300 episodes)

Let's play Guild Wars 2 (blind, 45 episodes)

Ha yeahh I know its crazy but Ive been using the same computer for almost 4 years and it runs really well for most mmorpgs out there except for the ones that are coming out this year...my video card and processor are pretty good but they could improve too...

Really TBH I just wanted to try out Aion OB to see if I really wanted to upgrade my pc some so when I could afford Aion later on I wouhd have a nice PC to play with.  Thats the only reason why I was aking about if I could actually play right now...just to test out Aion...I know that Aion has a HUGE Hype and rating so yeah curious killed the cat basically

Everyone, many thanks for the help, I will try out Open Beta thats coming very soon to try out Aion...and I agree with you all, that my RAM needs to increase to 2GB or more...

Now comes the second question....does any brand of RAM work just fine like if I found one on craigslist for really cheap, would that just be fine or there is some kind of specifications I need to follow to ensure that my RAM works fine and all that????

when buying ram if you dont know what you already have head to crucial.com and run there tool that tests your system and tell's you what you can have.

Theres a lot that comes into buying ram especially if just putting more in some motherboards require matching sets others will let you use different size as long as its the same clock speed.

you may well be ok on 1GB anyway as others have said it more than likeley the graphic's card that would cause any performance issues.

     Min Reqs

    CPU : Pentium 4 2.0GHz

    RAM :1GB

VGA :GeForec FX 5600(128MB), DirectX 9 or higher

    OS :Windows XP
