So I just beat Oblivion (yeah I had the game since relese date), I have some questions.

Finally decided to beat TES 4: Oblivion last night (starting from closing the last gate before Bruma gate). Honestly I was suprised at how everything went and enjoyed it. It was quite the toughest challenge. Closing that gate then entering paradise. If anybody is in depth with the lore of Oblivion, I was wondering in Paradise, the Immortals, are they waiting to become Daedra?

That's all I wanted to know, but the story unfoled great and I beat the game. I got my Dragon armor and was quite dissipointed with the stats on it. I saved my game. I'm wondering if I should dish out the money to get the expansion now. I'm still not done with the game as I got a mage character that I want to finish up.

semi-off topic....looking if anyone else heard this rumour, that the next elder scrolls game will be so massively large, so many quests side quests, stories and all that....that they will offer a refund if you actually complete it 100%? i heard that a while ago but never heard anything of a new game in the making...

Not herad anything about the next elder scrolls apart from it may be a mmorpg. V intrigued to find out if what you said is the case though.......ahhh come on. thats like a massive challenge right there:)

I enjoyed Fallout 3 and I'm still currently playing it. Also, About the next elder scrolls. I'm pretty positive it's not going to be a MMO. Also I never herd of such a rumor about some refund, but if they do it big like Morrowind it would be great. The only big rumor is that it will take place in

    Skyrim

, home of the Nords (humans).

Heh. And I just beat XCOM Terror from the Deep on superhuman without doing  a true save/reload. I really thought it couldn't be done.

I love the lore in TES games.

The Mythic Dawn is a cult that worships Mehrunes Dagon, the daedric prince of destruction. They are responsible for the assassination of Uriel Septim VII. Their main objective is to help daedra invade Tamriel by opening Oblivion Gates in order to destroy all of the cities in the continent. When a member of the Mythic Dawn dies in the service of Lord Dagon, they are reborn as "Ascended Immortals" in Camoran's Paradise. There they await the day that Lord Dagon takes Tamriel as his own and gives them each a share of his kingdom. ( a copy/paste from uesp.net  but very true indeed)

To answer your question about the "Immortals", I don't think they want to become Daedra. In TES lore, some people worship the Daedra gods. In Oblivion, we are dealing with one of the Daedra gods, Dagon aka the prince of destruction.  Mankar Camoran is simply a puppet. He created the Mythic Dawn cult and is helping Dagon to take over Tamriel. He simply made a pact with this Daedra in exchange of power.

I did like more the Morrowind storyline though. Although the Daedra are involved as usual, the main conflict is not created by a Daedra. In Morrowind, if you follow the main storyline, the Daedra Azura will guide you to save the people of Morrowind. So we can say not all Daedra are "evil".

Thanks for clearing that up. So basically when I bashed up a Mythic Dawn member they pretty much go there and wait. I need to finish Morrowind. I do know that not all the Princes are not evil, but they have their own personalities (most you won't agree with). I just wish Morrowind worked on X360. I thought about getting the PC version but in X360 I think I'm lvl 50 and still was too creeped out to go in Ghostgate. I need to finish it. I like the TES lore too. I actually can't wait till the books are done. I think it will be done and published this year.

I was wondering if you have the first expansion for Morrowind "Tribunal". I recommend that expansion because in Morrowind you meet Vivec who is part of the Tribunal, but the other two, Almalexia and Sotha Sil appear in Tribunal expansion. The main storyline is tragic with an unexpected twist.  Also in the expansion you get to see some other dwarf stuff and a little bit more info regarding the disappearance of the dwarves. I actually have the game of the year edition so I also have the Bloodmoon expansion. The storyline for that expansion is completely different, but very fun as you can turn into werewolf.

I cant wait for next TES, whatever Bethesda releases I play haha

I thought 360 had backwards compatibility?

As a point of note I purchased Oblivion when it came out and am still playing it. I have 4 characters going. And one that finished both oblivion main and shivering isles. Only problem is for some reason that character can't enter bruma without the game crashing. Have no idea which mod is doing that.

It's a testament to the game and even morrowind that players can play them long after the main quests are fnished. Heck, my roomate never finished any of the main quests. He just liked doing all the side quests and exploring.

I also played Morrowind for over 2 years. It's what got me to try mmo's.
