All MMOs will have bots. So if you're hoping for a bot-free existence, I suggest you just give up and stick to single player fare. As for whether or not Aion will get bogged down like L2, that's anyone's guess. I've only played the Chinese version, and it seemed relatively fine (that, or the bots are getting that much better).
On the plus side, though. From what I could see with the NA/EU CBT, there's a pretty attentive staff on board, and they actually listen. Which goes a long way in keeping bots down.
Bots have gotten alot better. Some are undetectable and only get caught in rare circumstances. Every MMO Ive played has had bots, there really is no avoiding it. But NCSoft seems to be listening to the player base to an extent. And when I played CB I really didnt notice any bot behavior (I used to use bots on occasion, but no longer do).
If your looking for a bot free MMO then as the previous poster said. Stick to single player cause bots will always exist.
