TES Games: Dwarves?

Are there dwarves in The Elder Scrolls? I'm pretty sure they've never appeared in any of the games... but do they exist in the lore? I know in Oblivion and I think in Morrowind as well, there is "Dwarven" equipment... but is that just a label or are they really dwarf-crafted? Going further, could we see dwarves in upcoming TES games?

I think they died out way before the game started, and all that remains is their technology/weapons/etc.
Just a guess though, I don't actually know the entire Elder scrolls lore beyond Morrowind and Oblivion.
Their technology got so great that it eventually turned on them and wiped them out. In TES III: Morrowind you do actually encounter the last living Dwarf in one of the quests. He's like a caretaker at a institution for people that have been driven mad by the Blight. As far as I know he is the only Dwarf you ever encounter in any of the Elder Scrolls games. He's actually the one who will tell you what happened to the rest of his kind if you ask him nice enough.

A big part of Morrowind is exploring Dwarven Ruins, they are all over the place. Even the main bad guy has his bases in old Dwarven ruins. Actually no one knows what happened to them except that one of them allegedly made some sort of dimensional transporter or some goofy thing. The last Dwarf you meet during the main quest doesn't really know what happened, he just gives you some background. For some reason there is far less Dwarf stuff in Oblivion.
Alright, thanks a bunch guys. Guess I should pick up Morrowind if I want to find out more. I havn't played it in so long!
