I feel that this game will be a huge let down, I have all the required equipment to run the game but I seemed to be swayed by the fancy do dads (voice overs) etc. With all the fancy graphics it seems that this game is hyping it up too much, like they're desperate to get this game sold. I really like this game but I am drawn to Guild Wars in which the graphics are as good as EQII and the game play is great and its free!
Please I need your help persuade me of coming back to Everquest II for I have lost all hope.

I'm not sure I understand your stance here. You're saying that they are "hyping it up" because they are "desperate to get this game sold", but you are asking us to hype it some more to persuade you to come back to Everquest 2? Kind of bizarre if you ask me.
Anyway, I don't know much about Guild Wars since I haven't really researched it, but, I can say that Everquest 2 is alot more than just eye candy. One thing that I have noticed in Beta (and from the minimal time I spent in EQ 1) is that it seems that the EQ crowd is alot more "mature" than many of the other MMORPG's out there. I'm a guy in his 30's, married and I have an 8 week old child at home. Sometimes things come up where I just need to log off. I've played many other games where I was in a group and was like "I need to go, wife needs me to do something" only to hear several group members b*tch because we had a good roll of XP going and now the healer or whatever was leaving. And they'd do the standard begging for me to stay. In EQ/EQ2, it's almost like I'm playing with adults who understand there are real life responsibilities we all need to deal with. And when I say I need to go, they understand because they too have been there as well.
Anyway, this isn't something that the developer can sell you. It isn't something they can hide with eye candy or cool "do-dads" in game. It's something only a community of people can provide. And to me, that's probably the most important aspect of a MMORPG.
So, I'm not going to tell you to come back to EQ 2. I'm not going to tell you to go check out Guild Wars. All I'm going to say is you need to realize what it is you are looking for in a MMORPG and decide if it's something some game developer can provide you or if it's something more immaterial that the supporting community can provide instead. Then make your decision on what game to play.
Play Guild Wars, its free and not due out until MAY 2005. Forget EQ2, its release date is just a few days away. Why play a game in a couple weeks when you can wait for something for 7+ months?
