Any news on either the rumored Warhammer 40k MMO or the blizzards new MMO they are working on. I haven't heard any news in a while so I was wondering if some big development went under my nose.

There wasn't anything at games day either. Had some info on some other games, such as DoW II but nothing as to any work done on WAR.

Latest news on the WH40K mmo. Models look sweet and titans are in.
I'm hoping for some kind of squad based MMO. I am not holding my breath.

THQ are making WH40K. Massively have some exclusive screenshots. It will be a squad based mmo.
Think DoW/CoH with more pew pew.
As for blizzard, no news.
nice screens for 40k. now of only there was more info on the world of darkness mmo.....
Anyone else predict that blizzard releases a warhammer 40k type game?
WoW 50k or some shit.
And it would be wildly successful.
Before or after warhammer 40k is released.
As long as one of them is good. I'd like to see blizzard new game not be a second WoW in mechanics. I am not expecting anything revolutionary I'm just hoping all the experience money and time since WoW was first released will result in some new concepts in MMO design.
I would imagine the Blizzard MMO will release before Warhammer 40k. Warhammer 40ks developer is a new company, I am sure it will release a year or so after the 2011/12 announced release.

Somebody posted this over at Warhammer Alliance. No confirmation of its authenticity but it looks fairly believable.'''
"From THQ private company conference of 20th january concerning E3 presentation plan:
Playable factions:
- Imperium
- Eldar
- Orks
- Chaos
Features:
- Focus both on Meele and Long range Combat
- covering system
- 29 Zones (21 claimable, 8 invadeable)
- Open-World
- PvP around resource gathering and taking strategic points
- center zone features a conquerable stronghold
- No playable Tanks or other Warmachines at release but implemented possibility for expansion
- Tyranids as full fighting PvE-Faction
Lore (being discussed concerning certain faction-plots at the moment but here are the things we determined with Games Workshop so far):
- Game takes place in the southern border-sectors of Segmentum Tempestus
- Factions fight over a destroyed imperial forge world called Tarelis and its hive-city Cerberus X (newly added to the lore!)
- The story of the game will NOT take place in a parallel universe! Just like the Planet Kronus (made by our colleagues at relic) Tarelis will be part of the lore!
- Tyranids will be main-antagonists
- Unfortunately Vigil-games was not allowed to use Relics Gorgutz 'Ead 'Unter as Ork Warlord as he will make a final appearance in the second DoW2 expansion
Costs:
- 49.99$
Monthly fee:
- being discussed but most likely around 13$
Rating:
- targeted Teen/PEGI 16
Fully revealed at E3 2010."
Ok, I'm liking that outline there. That's a good start.

If they do it right, sounds amazing. However, I have been made wary of things like this. Either some major things will have to be left out or it wont be implemented right. I have nightmares of Warhammer and WoW PvP. As long as they make taking zones somewhat dynamic so its not just a grind for some kind of number for skills or equipment.

It basically sounds like they are taking the Dawn of War game series and making that into an MMO. That's not necessarily a bad thing. I would much rather have them look at Relic for inspiration than any MMO developer out there. At least Relic delivered a solid game with mechanics that suited the IP, and didn't butcher the lore in the process.

Whoops I was on 2nd page, and thought that was the OP.
The new activision-blizzard mmo was announced last week, I don't have a link but will find it and repost it here. It is a Call of Duty/War style mmo.
No playable vehicles? That's ridiculous, the 40 K universe is absolutely littered with vehicles and they have always been the main thing that I focused on when playing the tabletop.
Really a sad state of affairs if that rumour is true.
While it is somewhat disappointing, you have to recognize that they need to create a feasible scope for the game. I don't think it's realistic to create a solid base game, as well as vehicles, for an initial release.
I don't know about you, but I would rather have a solid game without vehicles than a crappy game with vehicles. I commend them for limiting themselves to a realistic scale for release.

Absolutely false.
If the game had truly been announced, it would have made the front page news of every single MMO news site on the net. If you read something related to an announcement then it was nothing more than speculation.

Why would I fucking lie about something so stupid.
PS. Blizz already said it would floor people on the IP and be totally different from anythign out to date. This would only make logical sense, don't gripe becuase it is not something you could have imagined and just embrace it.

You have a good point. I suppose the biggest thing I'm sceptical about is how they are going to portray the massive battles and unimaginable bloodshed in an RPG format. WAR really failed at that in my opinion.
Absolutely false.

Calm down, nobody said you were lying.
However, if you think that the article you linked is an official announcement you might want to read it again. It is no such thing and even the title of the article supports that.
Then there is the fact that Blizzard has already previously confirmed that the new mmo in development is a completely original IP, which rules out CoD.
If you're going to claim that something has been officially announced its probably a good idea to ensure you are actually correct prior to posting. In this case, nothing about your statement is correct in any way, the linked article is nothing more than speculation from a third party. There is nothing official about it at all.
Do you honestly think that an announcement of that magnitude, involving the most well known development studio in this genre of gaming, wouldn't be plastered all over the front page of every gamer publication on the net if it were valid? Especially when the masses have been eagerly awaiting any little hints as to what the game may be?
Absolutely false.

I agree also let them take some time and make a WAR game at least fun and playable and not like hes other brother from mythic :S
Also i would like NOT see 2 side like the horde and alliance style but all races as intividuals and all enemy to each other and let the players desie what to do.
Dunno ofcorse if this is able to be make but i hope so.
I wait this game so badly
BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD!!!!!
There already is a Call of Duty MMO.... its called MAG. :P
Which Final Fantasy Character Are You?
Final Fantasy 7

I seriously doubt Activision Blizzard would put Blizzard in charge of making a CoD MMO. Blizzard has no experience in fps. Infinity Ward would be in charge of this project, just like they've been in charge of the rest of the CoD series.
It would be illogical and devastating for Activision Blizzard to move the CoD franchise series from Infinity Ward to Blizzard.
If people are referring to Activision Blizzard they are talking about the publisher, not the game studio Blizzard(who is usually referred to as Blizzard Entertainment) who is obviously part of Activision Blizzard just like a lot of other studios. Just some FYI.
