I'm coming back to MMO's but i need some help first.

Well it's been a while but i really need something to break out of reality for a while and I'm in need of an MMO, i have played a lot in the past such as; WoW, MXO, SRO, FFXI Ect..

I've been looking at the new MMO's that are coming out like FFXIV and Star Wars but i don't think i can really wait until they come out so i need an MMO to play until FFXIV. I've been thinking about coming back to WoW i really enjoyed the pvp and the new expansion looks funky, i've always thought of WOW as being a great game, but you see when i quit in april i actually got hacked maybe due to my own stupid self or someone just guessed my password either way they messed with my characters and now on the amoury it says my characters are wearing no armour etc etc etc also it says my characters were last active in july and since i quit in april it couldn't have been me.

Do you think if i ring blizzard up they will sort this problem out? i'm sure it's not the first time and they should know what to do, also if they don't believe me can't they just corrolate the time when i cancelled my account and then look at the last time my characters were online something should be wrong with the dates.

Anyway any advice would be helpful thanks ^^

Yes, Blizzard will sort out this problem if you are the original account owner and know all of the information you had upon creating the account. A few questions they ask you are your address, your secret question answer, and around the time it happened. If your account has been hacked several times they even may ask you to print out a form that you have to get notarized saying it is your account and all that jazz. You would also have to fax a copy of your license with that form, but if this is your first time then you will more than likely get it back from just talking on the phone.

Once you get your account back you can make an in game petition telling them of your situation and your account should be restored to what it used to be in a few days. If they can't restore it with everything you will just get your BoP items back.

I wouldnt doubt Blizz would aid you in restarting your account, hacked or no.

However, this is a good opportunity to investigate alternatives. Many games, like AoC, WAR, EvE, LOTRO all have free trials from which you can judge the game and the population
