I need to come back and play an MMO for a while and i've always thought of WOW as being a great game, but you see when i quit in april i actually got hacked maybe due to my own stupid self or someone just guessed my password either way they messed with my characters and now on the amoury it says my characters are wearing no armour etc etc etc also it says my characters were last active in july and since i quit in april it couldn't have been me.
Do you think if i ring blizzard up they will sort this problem out? i'm sure it's not the first time and they should know what to do, also if they don't believe me can't they just corrolate the time when i cancelled my account and then look at the last time my characters were online something should be wrong with the dates.
I don't feel like leveling two characters to 80 again it took me forever..
Anyway any advice would be helpful thanks ^^

yeah they can do something. just tell them the situation, maybe even a restore date. if they cant restore it they'll give you a pre-determined amount of gold that a character your level should have, that will give you some coin to hit the AH and begin rebuilding.
i had my account hacked within the same 3 hour period i just happen to blow a power supply raiding Gruuls. took about a week to get everything back across 5 toons
They'll most likely be able to restore any lost characters. Since it's been a while they probably won't be able to restore any equipped items, but likely items you had in the bank. Sometimes the GMs don't really seem to know what they're doing, so keep making tickets if they don't fix your problems the first time around.
Thanks for the reply's guys =]
but the guy/girl has even changed my email/password and everything the only way i can even look at my character is on the amoury but i'm sure if i give them account details they'll be fine?
In that case you have to call Blizzard. I believe they'll require you to send in identification (such as a scan of your passport) to prove who you are, and then they can restore your account to you.
