Well unless the world is going to end I don't believe it would be the last hope for the MMORPG genre, to me this genre is pretty young compared to other genre of gaming.
But thanks for the link, gonna keep a eye on it, looks intresting, but then again read first introductions from "insert every MMORPG ever developed" and they all look awesome on paper (screen) writting.
I want to know why people keep posting concept art for games.
Don't even waste my time with concept art. I get pissed off every time I see something along the lines of "LOOK AT THIS GAME" just to click into it and see some useless concept art that some douche who can probably barely even use his internet browser drew up based on what some other dudes told him.
Here you go, Warcraft 2 Concept Art... the book has better stuff but this is the best I can find online.

I'm not sure what you're getting at. It looks just like the concept art.
I agree that this game reads like it will be decent. But I also HATE concept art. Have you ever seen a game where the final art was up to par with the concept art?
- Case: Thermaltake Kandalf Black Chassis - CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition 3.2GHz (OC'd 4.2GHz on Water Cooling) - Memory: Mushkin 8Gb (4x 2Gb) DDR3 1600Mhz - HDD: Dual Western Digital Caviar Black 1TB 7200 RPM - GFX: (2) XFX Radeon HD 5870 in CrossFire - New upgrade!

I don't want to get my hopes up too high, unfortunately there are soo many games out there that just dont bring anything new to the table or they just seem very cheap in quality, not enough polish!
On a positive note, I can say that if the people of Straybullets were part of the development team for Shadowbane, then I think there is a good possibility of a decent MMO. I played Shadowbane when it first came out up to just after the 2nd expansion, and loved it. I liked the idea that the game was very player driven, there was enough diversity in character development that there was no supreme way to make a character build that would dominate everyone. The idea that you could build a guild and it was part of the land, was great. Or the fact that you can destroy a guild leaving nothing but ruins was amazing too. The pvp was far better then most MMO, in my opinion. Whether it be running around and coming across an individual or a group that you may attack or they may attack you. Or the full scale guild battles for domination of the land. I think the game was very well done for the time. On a negative side of it, the game did have technical issues, some that took forever to get worked out, others that never got worked out. Overal lthe game was a nice change from most MMOs.
I hope these developers can produce another great game, and have learned from their past mistakes. I thik it nothing else it would be worth the time just to keep an eye on this game, even if all we do have is concept art at the moment.
Really? A three paragraph vague description of a supposed game and a few pieces of concept art will breathe new life into the "dying" MMO genre? Seriously? Is this a joke? Really?
Fantasy is crap. If that's the last hope for the genre, let's kill it now.
However, like lots of people have said, concept art means nothing, it's not representative of the actual gameplay. Anyone can draw a pretty picture, it's another matter translating it to screen.
Let us know when they have actual gameplay examples out. Or actual screenshots. Or SOMETHING!
Yet they fit the best within the genre. I'm still looking for the fantasy mmo that works for me, although of course I'm willing to try out other settings. But there's plenty of innovation still to come for the fantasy setting.

Poor MMORPG genre.
It has 30+ million players and growing.
I never knew it was dying. /sniff.

Well quite frankly, for a non-static, open world, open PvP MMORPG, It is the last hope :P
