ok iam watching AION for the past 2 years...nothing great just reading for it...i was expecting it to be more mainstream just to hit wow(iam a wow player and want new games to go well so Blizz do some good changes...which happens from time to time :P)

anyway i see people whining and people defending the game...my question goes to the people defending.you guys say that its good to take log to level and more of the "the journey is good too"dont take me wrong i like that idea too but in 2 months what will happen?

i mean we have defendes that play the game and arent yet max.eventually all of the release players will be 50.what about the new players?having 50 players on max level and the rest <MAX its ok because you can enjoy the journey but having

the majority at MAX level doesnt leave room to enjoy the journey,in that way of thinking isnt extreme grinding doing damage to the game?(and i say extreme because sorry guys but if you must keep killing ads to level{thats what i read in these forums anyway}and cant do quest because its not worth it,then its extreme grinding)

btw to a post some other guy made about wow.

people must understand that AION isnt a new game its 1 year old so you can compare it to another game

2nd wow its the leading MMO out there so its obvious some of the inspiration in almost all theme park mmos comes from(and unfortunatelly we all se where that leads usually and it isnt on the big bucks)

EDIT SINCE MY WRITING SUCS :P :in short,if grinding is so hard to level how can new players that might start AION in 3-4 months can compete with the existing player base?

Maybe they will add a new patch so that you can grind for new gear?

The point is to gring the enemy faction for abyss points, conquor seige forts and do their dungeons for medals, then purchase the crazy good abyss gear using those abyss points and medals.  If im not mistaken, a full set of epic abyss gear is going to run you in the 10-20mil abyss point range, so good luck getting that in a few months, or a year for that matter.

When they say they westernized the game they cut out the pve farming and made the game about endgame player farming rather than pve leveling via farming.

Well i love Aion i have fun in the game and some friend of me play Aion because they cant just stand the graphic of WoW. But for me graphic dosent bother, so I understand your feeling.

They going to reduce the grinding with the next patch. I know this isnt really their main trouble, anyway the game will turn like the evolution of Lineage, it will be pretty hard for new player to have access to the game because the "leveling curve in general until you reach 50" isnt the trouble but the trouble is between level 15 to 20, the endless moment of being in Black Mau, is pretty boring and you NEEED a group to pass this part and step into Morhein and the quest over there start at 20-21 ( and u meet the need to do the Coin questing for making XP, to be able to reach lvl 23, after 23 everything fine you have quest waiting everywhere.)

Soif new player can do pretty quickly the quest until 23,than everything fine for new player they will be able to reach the fun part. ( well all classes praticaly suck before reaching 25, more SM, Sin, Ranger, Priest)
    Templar seem to still easy.

ill be joining Aion sometime in late november/early december. Not worried at all, there should be some other new players although i expect to see mostly alts. This is good because you get to party with already experienced people and it should be easier since there are always vets willing to help out beginers. Im hoping many issues will be resolved by then, and the available info on leveling should somewhat make up for the ganking by the people at level cap on the other faction.

Also the comunity should be improving, as most of the WOW fanboys will be going back to their game. Good riddance.

    Just to make things clear...
I speak for myself and no one else, unless i state otherwise mine is just an opinion. A fact is something that can be independently verified, you may challenge such but with proof. You have every right to disagree with me through sound argument, i believe in constructive debate, but baseless aggression will warrant an unkind response.

Aion's grind isn't extreme. I think back to my AC days and it gets me through it.
