Logged on yesterday and found out my alliance CVA was disbanded! Ach! We turtled up to protect our assests for several hours. Turns out some dude hacked a CVA players account and disbanded the Alliance. Glad that was quickly Investigated by CCP and things were returned to normal.

There needs to be some kind of system in place so that "ninja spys" dont disband alliances with one click of the mouse. A vote to disband or remove a corp needs to be implemented. What say you Eve players?

This isnt about whether you like CVA or BOB, but the implemtation so that alliances cant be ninja'd out of existance.

Don't know which I dislike more, CVA or Hacking! Looks like it's Hacking. Man you guy's dodged a bullet! Congrats on the rebound and I would imagine this mechanic is being written out of the game as we speak. Can't think of any reason to keep it, other than to encourage this type of behavior.

The whole incident had nothing to do with "hacking". CVA had a director with crappy account security who either got phished, has a keylogger on his computer or shared his account details / reused his password everywhere.

Still, it amazes me that a 24h grace period for kicking corps out of alliances hasn't made it into the game yet.

Who cares about the semantics of it? 

 

It's one thing to infiltrate a corporation, its another thing to steal account information.
