Just tried the game and...

 It seems pretty good. Nice gfx, solid interface, sound fx needs alot of work though but the game seems promising.

However, what is the game about? PvP? PvE? PvPvE?

Can you build stations like in Eve?

Can I get bigger more powerful ships or or are all the ships fighter style?

Played it before on a trial, didnt really like it too much. Try Dragon Age Origins (; has a really sad ending on part of it.

- It's an Open world Pvp game with 3 major factions (races / nations) plus those that play as pirates.  There's also the NPC 'bots that hate everyone and will attack on site. There is a PvE side where you take missions from the various stations (this was probably the weakest part of the game when I played not alot of variety). 

As far as what it's about .... with the changes they're doing and want to do it'll go more into a war mode with the different nations trying to take and hold the border systems.  Otherwise it's about leveling up to get better ships and equipment and killing the other side.

- They have both cargo ships and fighter's.  Which you go with will depend on what / how you wish to play.  Want to mine?  A large fighter or small cargo ship would work.  Trash hauler for the credits?  Cargo all the way.  Go into contested space looking for a fight?  Fighters.

It's still rough around the edges, but when I played it was a 4 man group writing code, doing the graphics and debugging.  Something I think they worked on after their regular jobs.  It has a good play style, graphics are getting better and a tight player base that probably knows each other by name and play style.  My son's doing the latest free trial and we can see the difference since the last time we played (last Christmas).  Well worth trying it out.
