I have always thought that the LotrO devs have been pretty good at communicating on the forum but its been really crazy lately!
There is like 20 dev posts on the dev tracker just from today! I think its great so see alot of the differnt devs post and answer the concerns from the community, even thou I dont have acces to the US forums
My favourite is the thread where poeple post their ideas of skirmish bosses they would like to see and one of the devs give feedback to the players ideas:

If WoW = The Beatles
and WAR = Led Zeppelin
Then LotrO = Pink Floyd

Yeah it's good to see them out and about again.
I think they kind of turtled up after the MoM release. Especially after all the performance/network issues after the MoM release. Couple that with the DPS nerf right after MoM, the Fervor tanking "fix", and the content schedule lacking this year because of the above mentioned issues to name a few, and I think they were feeling a bit embattled for awhile.
Now with the new content released, and in fairly polished condition, the masses are happy again, and the devs are safe to come out and play without being skewered for every little thing.
Einherjar_LC says: WTB the true successor to UO or Asheron's Call pst!
Polished? Not with that list of known issues and quests/skirmishes being pulled for new bugs.
There's a difference between polish and perfection. Mirkwood is fairly polished. Is it perfect? No. Releases never are, nor will they ever be.
But yeah, the Devs have been more visible lately, especially the Skirmish devs who were also fabulous throughout beta.
