I think every DD knows the hardships associated with finding a group. Now, this patch should have eliminated it, right? I mean, on ALL those servers there HAVE to be a few tanks that want to do a group, after all.

Yup. Certainly. The only problem: It also upped the numbers of DDs lfg by magnitudes.

I had no idea, though, that it is appearantly even worse on other servers. On mine, we had a fairly good distribution between tanks, healers and DDs. Of course more DDs than the others, but hey, you need three times the DDs you need healers and tanks anyway, so it was fairly even. the LFG tool now brought this to my attention and it shows it very, very clearly.

In a nutshell, if I LFG with my mage, it can take up to half an hour 'til I find a group. My tank has a group when he wants it. Anytime. Anywhere. Instantly.

Roll a warrior, people! No matter if you can play or think aggro management is something your boss at work should consider doing, you will have a group!

So my tank will have any kind of equipment I might want, if I really wanted to invest the time. I can pick and choose the instance to go to and it's unlikely anyone will want my plate armor drops. Why? Because I could easily choose to just leave the group if a Pally or DK is in it as a DD who might roll for it. I could choose my group.

I could see, though, that it will be even harder now for the DDs on some servers to get their gear together. Uldu25 is something you will not be taken to if you don't have the necessary gear, and getting it just got harder it seems.

Yeah, getting groups as a DPS can take a while sometimes with the new Random Dungeon system. However, the difference between how it is now and how it was is on my Warlock is that before I could look for a group all night long and only get the Heroic Daily done whereas now I can get 5 or 6 groups a night. Yeah, it takes about 10 minutes to get a group but they do come.

Also .....Ulduar 25?! What?!

Why are you worried about Ulduar 25? You can do the Random Heroics and get tier 9 or do the Icecrown 5 man and get gear on the same level as Ulduar. Then you move onto ToC. Ulduar has joined the list of raids people dont give a crap about anymore.
