Hi guys I've tried Eve so many times wanting to get into it it but just could'nt , but last night I fired it up again and I suddenly got the " Hey this game is kindaa cool " feeling I think it was when I blew up a couple of Enemy Ships and got my first weapon upgrade for a reward and had to actually load the Ammo manually !! vcool
Anyways enough of my inane noob dribbling and a couple of questions. ( hope they dont sound too stupid )
1. Do you get XP for each Kill ?
2. Do you gain level at some point ?
3. If I choose the Explorer proffesion can I still fly ships with good weaponry and do combat ( same question for Trader etc ) ?
4.How do I know when a mob is too high level for me to engage ?
5. Can Eve be solo'd or do you have to join a Corp ?
thanks in Advance

1. No. Skills train in real time, take advantage of the 24hr skill queue
2. You "level" you're skills (in real time)
3. Professions are just a guideline, you can do anything in eve if you train the right skills. The explorer profession just gives you a tutorial on what exploration is all about, how to do it, and what skills you should train to be good at it.
4. If you do missions, there's Lvl1 through Lvl4 missions, lvl 4's will be tough for you, rest should managable. Otherwise, just engage them and if you don't think you can hang, warp out. You'll eventually start to know just by the name and type of ship of the mob whether you can kill it. Also, different mobs have different resists and do different damage types. Knowing that, you can kill any mob in eve if you fit you're ship correctly.
5. Depends what you want to do. If you want to explore, kill NPC's, and make lots of money, soloing is fine. If you want to do small scale piracy, soloing is fine. If you want to get in to faction warfare or the 0.0 sovereignty campaign, you pretty much need to join a corp, and tbh eve is much more fun and much less work when you're in a corp. Surviving in eve is tough, but a good corp will always help you out.
I'd advise you to figure out what YOU want to do in eve, and join a corp with similiar interests. You can always go solo later, but the advice and learning experience alone will make you're life a lot easier when you decide to go solo.
I'd like to second that recommendation. Joining a corp of like0minded players is a great way to progress your character's career and it opens up a lot more options for you within the game.
