You know NCsoft made Guild Wars... right?
They're giving away Guildwars boxes for free?
There is NO miracle patch.
95% of what you see in beta won't change by launch.

NCsoft didn't make Guild Wars.
Irregardless, NCsoft always goes into a project knowing exactly what their plans are, business-wise as opposed to other companies who reveal their plans sometime during development. If the game is going to be free to play, they always mention it from the outset (Exteel, for instance). Otherwise it has a monthly subscription.

True - but NCSoft still distributed it and was in charge of pricing/billng processes.
I can not find out if this game will be free or not,can you help me?
No i think it is quite obvious because it is NCSOFT and this game i heard had a chance of being released before Aion.So this tells me they held the game back on purpose so it did not have to compete with AION.It definitely is a cool looking game ,but VERY gimmicky sort of just an arcade style combat system, witch really caters to the Asian/Korean community in particular.
I was not even sure if they would release this game over here, but i think the delay and avoidance of Aion they are going to attempt it,i don't think it will do any better than TR.
Never forget 3 mile Island and never trust a government official or company spokesman.
1. Learn some spelling. 2. A game of this magnitude is never free. 3.Make your own game and see how much it cost. 4.Nothing in this world is free. 5.Congrats you are now officially a grownup when you master this.
The kind version: Not its not going to be free. There is prolly some L2 clone that is f2p out there. Merry Xmas

Any links to where you read this? I heard they were in development in '06......
I know you have a problem with Korean games but please stop giving out false information. I've skim past Korean gaming websites for a while and never read anything like what you claim so I think your lying.

According to interviews, development started in '08.
Good thanks, do not quite understand what they say but I think I'm being accused of giving false information -.-, i never thought that it would be bad, it was just to be sure.
I never said "this game is going to be P2Por F2P" ,thank you for answering these Messages ...
No te estan acusando de nada, eston descutiendo outro assunto. Desculpa, pero mi español no es muy bueno. XD
Is this a serious thread? Like have you watched any of the trailers? Do you honestly think such a high quality game would be F2P?
Lol some people forget that f2p games costs more to enjoy then p2p.
sad but true. here in PH, i know of people who have spent hundreds of thousands of pesos(thousands in USD) just to buy rare and/or over upgraded items in some F2P Games (ex. RF Online, Perfect World, Ragnarok, RAN Online, PKO, etc.) as compared to people who just pay the standard monthly fee for P2P games.
some guys are just plain nutty but rich.. (ex. trading honda civic for lvl99 character) ..
also i wouldnt be surprised if game publishers make more from Item Mall than regular monthly subscription..
as for Blade & Soul, it wouldnt really matter if its F2P, P2P or somthing like GuildWars (buy box but no recurring monthly fees), it looks like a real nice game.

Reading about B&S it could very well be B2P. There is supposedly an "ending" in the story arc so makes me skeptical. I'm not overtly hyped about this game, it's Ncsoft (I enjoy Aion) but Ncwest is just a big disappointment. They don't release any information out about anything related to Aion when I can go to a Korean board and find out information on the dot. They don't release interviews regarding B&S, don't push any of their upcoming titles like Steel Dog and Metal Black Alternative & GW2. They're generic and just mindless zombies. No effort on their part to try and work with the head NC office to get their games more marketable in the U.S. Aion in it's own made itself popular, not because of marketing or advertisements. I barely read crap about the game and had to hear it from a few classmates.
B&S will be good, but with their expansion for Aion (vision) and GW2 releasing, how much love could they actually show to one particular title?
Tera will blow this game away and so will C9 and Mabinogi Heroes. Don't forget Berkanix.

I'd rather it be p2p because f2p honestly costs too much to enjoy.

HAHAHAHA, no.
If NCsoft is capable of anything close to Guild Wars... well, they aren't, and won't be.
