Buying gold and hacked accounts

it's just amazing how many people who play WoW are getting hacked

What I find interesting is that many people who have been hacked are now stating that they find that their account has been filled with lvl 1 characters on various servers with usual gold seller type names and emails  from blizzard saying that they have been banned for spamming. One guy got a ban on his hacked account for selling gold..  and another only realized he had got hacked when they got an email from blizz stating that he had tried to sell his account.

Why pay the chinese to farm for pennies when you can get the gold for free and sell it.. 100% profit. Only way I can think of to stop it is just plain simple don't buy gold.

    Simple economics. Offer and demand.

If there is demand, somebody will try to serve it. On the other hand, if you create an offer but there is no demand to meet it, the offer will most likely succumb.

The problem are not the farmers and dealers. The problem are the players, whom see themselves stuck in a highly competitive environment, at the same time experiencing a lack of time, skill, guild and therefore cheat to prevail.

Why would a sprinter train for years, drive his body and mind to the limit, to win the world record over 100m, just to loose it the day after because he was tested positive for doping.

Welcome to Machiavellianism. The end justifies the means.

They're not getting "hacked", they're getting keylogged.

Stop clicking on links that say "SEXY LADY WANTS U", and you won't get keylogged.

Gullible people giving out information they shouldn't.  Thats about it.

I bought gold in WOW numerous times using different companies each time, one even sent 10,000 gold directly to my main character through in game mail and I never got busted.  I used about 2k gold to make an uber unhittable 10th lvl rogue.
