LF Browser game

I'd like to to find an in-depth browser game.  I know how in-depth can it be if its browser based right?  But figure i'd try anyway.  I've played outer-empires=like the game massive depth but overly repitive and just personally not a fan of space themes.  Kingdom game=also a fan but to repitive no real competive play, exploring.  Played warcraft=ok game but not worth the subscription.  Playing business tycoon fun game but item mall which im NOT a fan of.  So i'd like to find a game that is browser based, ie no downloads like runes of magic or wizard.  I'm looking for in-depth I do not mind hours of grind as long as it has its rewards, looking for exploring, questing, guilds, english based prefered but not necesarry.  F2P or P2P doesnt matter would like to avoid item malls.  If there is actually a browser game worth playing i'd like to know thanks.

I have been playing Lords of Evil for 11 months.  It is a browser game where you build cities to produce troops so you can attack other players.  You cannot lose your cities but other players can destroy your armies and steal your resources.  It has newbie protection so that the big players cannot pick on new players. There are various strategies for protecting troops and resources, including fleet save.   It is free to play.  Eventually you get to a stage where your city upgrades and skill upgrades will cost gems to build and you purchase gems with real money.  There is hours of play before you will need to buy gems.  Players can attack each other's cities and there is guild versus guild combat to capture strongholds. All players  get some gems every day in game without paying real money.  There are also special events where you may win some gems.  Many players do play without buying gems.

I am also trying Heroes of Gaia which is similar to Heroes of Might & Magic.  I have only played this game for a week and am not sure how long I will continue playing.  I like the graphics.  I am not far enough into the game to decide whether this game is for me.

Both of the above games run in a browser and use Flash.  You can learn more about   the above games  at www.webmmo.com

Thanks for the reply.  The first game sounds like Evony, which reminded me I some how forgot to enclude that game on the list of played and didn't like haha.  The game was heavily reliant on item mall, otherwise it was kind of fun.  I'll be sure to check out the games you suggested though thanks again.

In my search I came across grepolis a greek browser mmorpg. Has anyone else heard of this or played it? Its another item mall, they are every-freaking-where. But at least this is an affordable item mall, with limited items relatively low prices. Only started playing so can't say much.

Archspace and Archmage are both fun. Both free and require no download.

In Archmage you choose you are a wizard (or something) and choose one of 5 alignments to start with. You're the boss of a kingdom, and have to conquer / explore new lands, build stuff on it (like guilds to increase spell research, nodes to increase your mana, fortresses to improve defense etc).

With the spells you researched you can cast enchants on your country or an opponents one, use spells in battle or summon all kinds of units to defend your country. Like zombies, angels, plant things, knights, demons, dragons etcetc. Then you can also find and use items, there is an auction house, and you can offer money to the gods. Depending on how much you offer to which god they might start to like you and aid you.

The game is easy to learn but hard to master. It's not very graphical, most of it is text. It's nice because there are several ways to advance, like you could concentrate on defense and exploring for new lands, or try to conquer stuff of opponents. It's difficult to master because you have to constantly balance the resources, and especially stack your army right. Which of your units attacks whom in your opponents army and vice versa depends on how much of your army is made of that unit.

In the game you can, especially if you play black, initiate rituals that you can't stop, and summon units that you cant disband. IE you might start a ritual that converts the newborns of your country into ghouls, and the ritual lasts for 200 turns and you cant stop it. And you cant disband ghouls either, and they want to eat too and munch some of your population. Which means that very quickly you get a very large ghoul army which very quickly starts to eat up your population. The only solution is to lose them in battle, so you have to start attacking lots of players, simply to prevent your country from beeing overrun by your own ghouls.

Haven't played the game for a while, but last time I checked it was still online. Just make sure you play on a server without guilds, since otherwise if you attack the wrong person that guild might dispatch you quickly. You can form there guilds and even ally with two other people, send each other troops automatically etc.

Archspace... haven't checked that for a while, but it was very complex. It's a space-sci-fi-browsergame, and free as well. What's good about it: a dozen or so different races to choose from, you can create your own ships (out of existing components), devise battle strategies (like tell some ships to flank an opponent, some to break through the ranks, some to stay behind etc), form large alliances and the game is in general rather deep.

Let's play Fallen Earth (blind, 300 episodes)

Let's play Guild Wars 2 (blind, 45 episodes)

Just let me clarify, the OP wants a no download MMORPG, not a browser game.

Generally, people think of browser games as being text based, or pretty much text based with maybe a limited GUI as fluff (Evony). He's looking for something like Runescape.

Just stay away from Evony & Ogame.

In this case, stay away from Earth Eternal and FusionFall. Both require a download of some sort.

If I were you, I'd try out something like City of Eternals or Fragoria.

Lords of Evil (LoE) is quite different from Evony in how the game is implemented, particular for the interface, game play and how gems (real money) are used in-game.  I have played both games. You can get much further into LoE without spending any money.  If you like strategy war games with city production and  skills to upgrade, you may like this game even though you did not like Evony.

I'd have to say Runescape is the best browser-based game around. It's free with a 5$ monthly fee to be a member. TONS of stuff to do. It beats most full P2P game out there imo. Idk i'd at least TRY it. If not the other suggestions werent bad.

well thank you all for the replies let me give a short update on the ones i've checked out i've still got to do more only so much time you know haha. Mostly I've found that no-download game equals minimul immersment. If thats a word. That reminds me thank you madhatter for clarifying I wanted a NO download game. Just looking for something to bide my time till I can afford a brand new gaming comp I've become overly upset with current set up. Anyway back on topic games. Grepolis=no depth same ol concept rehashed but it is in early development so if your a greek fan keep your fingers crossed. Archmage=way too comonon term couldn't find specific game you were speaking of post link i'll give it a try. City of eternals=facebook trash (my opinon not trying to flame yours lol) just didn't care for it. Fragoria=couldnt load though others had this issue with ff as well :(. Runescape=the solotaire of browser mmos lol, it is the classic but I guess another title i forgot to mention i played I figured anybody thats interested in browser games, or has an internet connection has played this game lol. simply not enough group forced for a group game, playing by yourself is do-able. looking for something new i guess sorry I suck at the detail thing :( lordofevil=click and wait and wait...but i actually like it, have joined a guild and think I will stick with this one for awhile. Will try more and let you know.
