LFGame - F2P (A challenge for the community)

Rather than a rambling, here's a list of things I expect from the game I'm trying to find:

-MMORPG or MMOG excluding 2D, Text Based

-Client based, none of that web based games please.

-Sci-fi, flying in space and whatnot

-F2P, no P2P

-Non-instanced or a partial instance, reason being my next point

-The feel of the game is more geared to exploring rather than leveling or any of that sort.

-Player-controlled universe (i.e. governments, RP groups etc.)

-Graphics, lots of it.

-3rd or 1st person

-Hard, kist how I like it.

 

In short, I would like a game is just like if Star Trek was a game. By which I mean, the series and not the game.

 

If you guys find one, please let me know.

well the things youw ant are not combined in a game but i can give some examples like exteel, age of armor (even if it sucks it fits your criterias) and instead of sci fi age of conan is good for guilds and RP, hope it helps

So you want a free 2 play run by players scifi game with RP and amazing graphics where exploring is a bigger part of the game then leveling.

 The closest I can think of is Taikodom. Other than that, no F2P will please you. It sounds like you want EvE, tbh.

However, if you can open your heart a little, Tears of Polaris (it is text-based MUD, but hear me out) will be exactly what you want when it comes out. It'll be published by Iron Realms Entertainment and will have all the depth of the old MUDs in a sci-fi setting and to my understanding, will have politics.

Taikodom? I might want to try that out. Well I'm pretty open to any sort of suggestion for a sci-fi game so I might look into Tears of Polaris.

The only game that fully describes what you want is EvE, and Taikodom is the closest F2P for that so I say go for that one.

Entropia Universe is Exactly what you need. Excellent graphics (Uses the crysis engine) and one of the most mature communities out there.

Keep your eye on Allods Online. It's still in beta at the moment but it has a lot of what you're asking for if thematically quite different.

Honestly, you should just choke it up and pay a subscription fee for either Fallen Earth or EVE.  I doubt a F2P is going to please you.

Although the game uses crytek 2, the devs didn't know how to fully use its powers and in general it is quite poorly opitimzed and very buggy. Not saying the game doesn't look good, because it does look pretty awesome just be ready to have a beast of a machine to run it.

Also i would highly suggest playing EVE and not taikodom if you live in NA.

OH! Since you do want F2P, if you decide to try EvE, I will mention that over your trial period, work you ass off to get tons of ISK! You can pay for EvE monthly and even the initial PLEX payment by trading with other players that want ISK for GTCs.
