this game sounds really good, i've been following it since development,
it seems the game is really doing well, i love this whole sandbox pvp (full loot)
from what i've seen this game is full on "kill or be killed"
as i've said i've followed this game for along time and at release i was really disappointed. but it looks like its really picked up.
There is however one problem. which is buying the game. Can you only buy it on the official site? remember i'm from the Uk and atm the euro is basically 1 : 1 to the pound.
because there asking
Darkfall Client + 6 Month Recurring Subscription for 69.99€
Darkfall Client Download+Monthly Recurring Subscription 42.00€
£42 (wtf where they thinking) for the game itself + £8.99 a month
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This doesnt help me want to buy this game at all. so if anyone out there can pursuade me to get this game.
or maybe i should wait for MO? i dont know

I grabbed it afew weeks ago and am having some the most fun I've ever had in an MMO. The choice is yours bud..
"I play Tera for the gameplay"
It's worded poorly but I believe you get a month of game time with the $42 deal. I went with the 6-month and I'm glad I did but my friend went with the other and I'm pretty sure he got a month of game time. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

I definitely would not wait for Mortal Online. Pretty much all accounts of the game say that it is in far worse shape than Darkfall was at launch. If it does come out this week I am pretty sure it will be a doomed project. Don't get me wrong, I really really hope that is succeeds because I think games like DF and MO are really the last line of defense before this genre does a death spiral down the toilet in a Disneyland theme park. A lot of people I have spoke to from various guilds are pretty much in lock-step that it if releases in its current condition that it will be dead on arrival minus a few diehards will to help fund the project.
Also as far as I know, Mortal online seems to not be marketing itself as heavily in the PvP department as Darkfall does. I'd probably recommend you get this game right now, and keep a watchful eye on MO in the coming weeks to see how well it holds up.

I also dont think MO is focused much on war level activities nor empire building. Additionally, while MO is working on getting fixed DF will be continuing to improve even more. I think the only primary difference that can not be avoided is the core engine. DF is single core. Having said that however, even that might be able to be modified later.
I do agree though I hope MO is succeed to the point where better options of gaming exist for everyone.
Please do not respond to me, even if I ask you a question, its rhetorical.

If you're on EU-1 and use a mic (Ventrillo) then send me a pm and I'm sure you'll get accepted.

Start with NEW. They are a very good clans for new players to learn the ropes. As for the other EU clans, I'm from NA so I'll let others take care of that.
Unfortuantely there is still the problem of the price of the game..
is there anywhere i can buy it cheaper than £42 for a gawd dayum MMO Client >.< i really would like to buy this game

I also have access to MO beta, it will be months like six months of development for that game to be enjoyable. I am also in the same boat as Paragus and would like to see more games like DF and MO.
Playing Darkfall EU1 Server
So i should just go for it then? what can i loose really. apart from a few £'s i need a game untill SWTOR is released really,
New setup and everything the only thing i can think of is Darkfall and AVP3 (Comes out 19th Feb)

Hmm maybe true but im a sticker with tactical combat+realism, and in MO from what i read energy costs alot more than Df ,so there is no way to sprint like Benny hill aroudn aplayer, timed blocking ,and timed swings are also better, and its combat is way more tactical than Df's. I like combat to award carefull swings with weapons, and punish attack spammers.MO seems to deliver that. That doesnt mean ofc DF 's combat is bad. It seems more arcade. MO's combat seems more realistic.

I have played MO since mid-Nov on and off... mostly off, but logging to see the changes. Let me try and find a nice way to discribe MO in it's current state without offending fanbois... It's utter crap!
Seriously, Think beta HZ and the miracle patch promise and you will get an idea of MO. Dark and Light, very, very similar. Not quite as bad as Mourning, since Starvault did actually pay some other company to make the DVD boxes. I don't know what else to say, but I will make a prediction... Star Vault will be filing for bankruptcy protection by the end of the year. And I don't say that lightly, or with any sort of pleasure. I hate seeing any company go belly up. Real people work there, and real families rely on the income to put food on the table.
A hand full of mis-guided fanbois cannot keep MO righted and pay the bills. I hope I'm wrong, but MO is waaay to blah and just dull, empty, laggy, motion blurry, boring... You get the idea.
Just my thoughts...
