What the hell is Nintendo doing with its classic franchises?

I was just thinking what happened to two of Nintendo franchises, such as Kirby and StarFox.
Both of them got popular games here and there but there's not even a comment on a possible Wii installment for them. I know there was a remake of Kirby Super Star for the DS, but remakes aren't much if you have already played the original.
Screw 1000+ Mario games again, having a Kirby game for the Wii using Super Star's style with the abilities allowing you to perform multiple things (instead of a single attack of some Kirby games) would be pretty nice, along with a level design revamp, more objects to interact using the abilities and so on. Look at it, the game doesn't even need top notch graphics thanks to the cartoony aspect the series.
StarFox was also fun, they have messed up a little introducing on foot combat, quite bullshit for a game based on flying shooting stuff around, and also it's not a space combat sim "realistic" game, it fits well with the Wii's graphical capabilities (or the lack thereof).

I've not heard anything about Starfox making a return on the Wii
Such a shame really since I'd rate the series as of one of my favourite Nintendo ones of all time. (Sick of Mario and Donkey Kong after a while hehe)
Yeah, I want a Starfox remake too. It's such a shame since the Wiimote has the potential to be a decent flight stick. :c
