Yep im just curious as to which classes you guys are going to play
Personally i will be playing the "Trooper" Because i love their role in the star wars lore, and i'm not to keen on the whole jedi / sith, since i think alot of people will be playing those, Whats your view on this?

Sith Inquisitor as my main.
I love the palpatine feel. I also like the very political persona of the class. Power struggles are always fun.
I usually go for the healing class as well.
Alts: Jedi Knight and Jedi Consular.

Guys! I'm hopelessly lost in a mountain of mole hills! Them damn moles!
I have no idea... Considering the depth of story in this game I personally am going to make a commitment to playing through at least my first storyline all the way through before I go making alts and trying others. So I want to really be as sure as I can be with my choice before I decide. I'm probably going to need more information before I make that decision...

I think I'll start out using an imperial agent. It looks fun. my 1st alt will then be a Jedi.
(DDDDDDDDAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH Engages Darth bane in plunger to lightsaber combat! Darth bane retreats!)
All my opinions are just that..opinions. If you like my opinions..coolness.If you dont like my opinion....I really dont care.
Playing: ESO, WOT, Smite, and Marvel Heroes
I'll probobly make a Sith Inquisitor after i've played my trooper

I'm still deciding between BH and IA. If player bounties do appear in the game I'll need to review the system. If I like it I'll take BH. No BH system and I'll play IA.
Way to hard to decide right now.
Fist toon will be an Imperial Agent - because I think there'll be a gabillion force users at launch, and it'll be nice to be a bit different.
Plus (and more importantly), the Imperial Agent just grabbed me for some reason. I think they'll be a blast to play, esp. with the cover mechanic in place. I think they'll have a pretty darned interesting storyline too - and I'm all about the intrigue.
I'll play the storyline all the way through before I even think about what class I'd try next.
trooper so i can put all the pussy lightsaber users in their place
For my Republic toon, Trooper.
For Sith, an Inquisitor. I saw a clip of one enveloping his target in a Force cyclone... the target spun around for a good ten seconds before being fried by a bolt of Force lightning. How can anyone pass that up? It's hilarious.
I'm planning on going smuggler.. they seem kind of rogue-ish, with a kind of guerilla style of gameplay. I also wouldn't mind junk kicking a few sith which we all know they deserve.
The first will be Jedi Knight. Why? Because I always wanted to be one.
Just a scoundrel
I'm going Jedi Knight or Sith Warrior i always play as tank or melee DPS in MMO's this guys can be either
I was planning to play a bounty hunter, but since classes are locked to factions i just dont know.
If i cant be a free agent and work for the highest bidder, i most likely wont be playing at all.
Hauken Stormchaser
I want pre-CU back
Station.com : We got your game
Yeah?, Well i want it back!!!
None of the above.
swg had it right
what you use is what you are
how much you use it is what you ended up being goodad at.
this cookie cutter stuff is getting old real fast.
its gonna be yet another game with wow-like mechanics.
I'm waiting for the next good sandbox game. I'm praying that world of darkness ends up being that way.

Bounty Hunter--->Flamethrower. Nuff said.
Seriously tho, Bounty Hunter, Jedi, Smuggler, and Sith ( Interrogater?). Because I am an alt junkie, and this gives me 2 on each side, of all 4 flavors.
Jedi Knight, with alot of alts.
Why? Because I love the lore of the old republic, and feel that anyone who ignores it in this era is missing out on half of star wars. I want to experience it first hand.
Plus in SWG, there were many jedi, but few 'good' jedi. I like the challenge of besting others of my class. Come to think of it, maybe I should be a sith instead with that kind of attitude lol. (Path of Destruction anyone?)
Longing for Skyrim, The Old Republic and Mass Effect 3
Admittedly. SWTOR seems to be emerging as a fine-looking game and will probably run very smoothly, but the limite class choices - just four per side? - are personally very disappointing to me.
Probably starting simple because each class has its own unique story, and odds are one jedi knights experience was quite different to another. Best to start small, and keep balance well, before getting ahead of themselves. Smart move.

No, you can't say the 'odds are' Bioware will expand an enrich the class choices. If mmos teach us anything, it's that mmo companies do what is easy and cheap. That means the 'odds are' the classes will stay exactly the same for the lifetime of the game except for possible internal re-engineering to ensure PVP balance.

No... I said odds are one jedi knights EXPERIENCE, was going to be quite different to another. You know, as in the story?? We know this game is about choices, so I doubt you will find it easy to find two jedi knights that made the exact same choices throughout the game. I never said they would expand and enrich the classes.
Not even sure we are talking about the same things. I think your on about there just being four on each side and thats it. Thats because it takes a damn long time to make individual stories for each class with fully voiced characters with multiple routes of progressing the story.
Too many MMO's make the mistake of making lots of classes to bring people in, and create all kinds of problems, balancing being the main problem.

I think we agree on the facts, just take a different view of what they mean.
I personally think that each class has only one story with many small variations which all take them basically to the same place - as happens in KOTOR I, KOTOR 2, Mass Effect 1, Mass Effect 2 and Dragon Age etc. This is not - in my humble opinion - that same as many different individual stories.
I am one of those who thnink that Bioware, by imposing a story on each class may be making a game-limiting mistake. Other people obviously disagree with me and I respect that.
I'll probably have two many alts but I'll probably start with a Smuggler on the Republic side and a Sith Warrior on the Empire side. The Imperial Agent could be very fun if there are espionage missions, playing an evil James Bond has a certain appeal.
For PvP I'll need melee classes though, so it will Jedi or Sith. I can see having a PvP character and one where I do more RP-ing.
I always play the caster type of character, more on the damage side than on the support, so Ill probably go with the Sith Inquisitor.
In the end it will be my girlfriend decision, because we always play every game together and she is still deciding if she prefers sith or republic. In case of republic I'll be the Jedi Consular
