As you can tell from the name I played UO so this kind of game is down my alley. I'm curious if there is a strong enough following (not sure if this game is multiple or one core server) that there is usually something going on? The PvP looks...interesting. I watched MO combat, this seems more fluid. Just wondering if I can get some opinons from people playing? I'm pretty tired of what the MMO genre has turned into.

Two servers NA-1 (North America) and EU-1 (Europe) one may be coming for Asia at some point in the future. PvP happens regularly every day on both servers.

I forgot to answer your question, so edited to add, yes, the PVP absolutely rocks. I like it better then say DAOC. Which was to me the holy grail of pvp for some time. Combat is fluid, you just need to experience it for yourself, the videos dont do justice to the game really. As to player population...NO one can tell you that but AV.

Im on NA myself and its pretty active.

Be forewarned, it will probably become like crack to you.

I tried snorting pure herion from the crack of a sleeping lions arse once, but found that after DFO it just wasn't hardcore enough!

    FACT!

MO concept is closer to UO than Darkfall.

Personally I feel DF has more in common with Shadowbane than UO.

Having said that at the moment DF is 10 times better than MO and probably the closest you can get to UO.

Trust me at the moment there is not better game than DF on the market, if you like sandbox.

$50 is a lot but it is worth it.

DFO is starting to sound more and more intriguing. If only you were on NA-1 Agricola. You seem like the kind of guy I'd have fun partnering up with in-game.

Don't even think about it...just buy it and become an addict like the rest of us :)

Currently playing SWTOR and it's MUCH better than it was at launch.

I bet you will find good people to group with on NA1 as well. Join NEW (guild especially for new people) and go from there.

I have to disagree MO is far better than DF. To be fair though I only played DF when it was in beta but than again MO is still in beta so ...

Well I wasn't being serious about it. Not liking it, but liking the way it smells? ba da ching? nothing? oh well...

Yeah in my months long debate on if I should cave in and get darkfall, my conclusion finally happened today, and what happens? I find out in another thread, that starting this past monday the account services were going to be down for up to 3 days. Hopefully sometime tomorrow they'll be made available, but I don't have my hopes up, so on thursday, I should be logged into Darkfall on NA-1. I would join NEW, but I hear they are war decced with a lot of people. Will that make skill leveling harder for me? I'm going to be asking a lot of noob questions now, that I've finally made up my mind, so I'll be mooching off other peoples threads now. Mwahahahehehehe heeeee.............

NEW, from what I have heard, is war decced with clans in the middle of the map. As a new player, you probably won't go there anyway until you have left NEW. Most people are decent and respect NEW, but there will always be terds floating in the lake.

If I decide to purchase it, which server on the west coast is more populated (usually)? Any suggestions? I don't want to end up like most people who had experienced being ganked. I want my money worth = a bit of ganking, more comfort&safety and a great guild.

There is only one US server. DF can simply hold more players than other games servers (thanks to cluster architecture).
