Okay, so...

After finally getting my computer back, playing Pirates of the Burning Sea again and realizing just how low the population is, I might actually go back to Darkfall...

I'd stick with Mortal, but as people have said it's really, really barren and I'm just defending it in hopes that it will improve.

Anyways, I haven't played since September and my usually objective outlook on things was seriously tainted by being objective over a few bad experiences in the game, one of the biggest ones being my clan. =P

People say its changed, maybe it has. I don't know.

If I don't like it still, I'll just cancel my sub. Honestly, I just need something to do when besides MAG in between school and working on my own PvP based game until Dawntide gets more complete.

I'm going to give it one more shot, and I want to apologize to whichever of you Darkfall fans I've attacked before, which I've posted here in hopes that some of you might see it.

I'm getting very itchy on trying darkfall, after playing MO's beta i lose quite a bit of faith in it. I mean it has everything i want but it being pvp centric kills it for me.

Darkfall, like MO, is also centered around PvP.

I guess you meant MO was also centered around pvp, but no. MO is a lot more like a UO sandbox game than a pvp game.

actually, MO's concept is a lot more like a UO sandbox game.

sadly MO's implementation is a lot more like a dog shit flavoured icecream.

thats why Im not filthy rich still, because I have an awesome idea for a flying car, but I know jack shit of mechanical engineering and I cant build it.

Good ideas are worth absolutly nothing if you cant carry on...MO? exactly the same

Always find it odd that people say this, when so much of the game isn't PVP.  You've got the hundreds of hours to be PVP-viable, the crafting/gathering investment, and the excessive travel time spent searching for a fight.   Yet despite the vast majority of gameplay not being PVP, the game is said to be centered around PVP.

I just compare it with other MMORPGs (some where PVP isn't even a focus) and see games where you can spend most of your time PVPing, and not dealing with a bunch of non-PVP overhead (which typically doesn't involve many interesting decisions.)

I'm not totally harsh on Darkfall, but they could've had a solid Planetside-but-fantasy-based game which was actually about PVP and instead they veered off into a game where gameplay is predominantly non-PVP activities.  Kinda disappointing.
