Hey everyone All Points Bulletin is coming out real soon!!
The past 3-4 months I have noticed that there haven't been many new mmos to try. Most are in CB. STO came out but that sounds like a geekfest. I tried Global Agenda.. (bought it) its not so bad. But i heard about APB since 2006 and I have been waiting patiently since.
I heard that RTW had acquired over 70 million to make this game. (30 for the infrastructure to host the game). They put alot of work into this game and delayed the release date a few times. I remembered when the release date was set for Dec 2008.
I can't wait, even if its 25 days from now, to play this game. Its gonna be a big break from the fantasy, elves, orcs, knights crap. THANK GOD!
Who else is gonna be buying this game? It is confirmed that there will be no monthly fee, but you still have to buy the client.

Right now I am playing Global Agenda but I am also going to try APB because it seems fun and very different from everything else.
Really? No monthly fee? I was going to try it anyways, but that's an extra bonus. Honestly, I just want to try it so I can drive around and shoot people from a car. It just looks like fun.
I like GA it reminds me of Hellgate London. My name on GA is Decepticon. Add me!
Actually I just googled the pricing for the game, it says it will be an alternative method to the traditional monthly fee model. If you check apb.com and read the FAQ it says there will be no monthly fee.
The biggest thing this game has going for it is the content creation it's going to be packing at release.
If you've seen the GDC '08 videos that unveiled the character creation systems, car customization. Now the current podcast details the music editor.
My guess is their big push is going to be players making/selling their own content, and then they just take like 20-40% of the price flat. That, or some conversion points system to handle it all.
Lets Push Things Forward
I knew I would live to design games at age 7, issue 5 of Nintendo Power.

Umm, I don't mean to be rude, but where are you getting this information from? You leave no evidence to back up your statement. I for one have already preordered the game because I'm convinced it's something I'll like. But, the launch date on their site say Spring 2010. Granted that's this next season, but Spring doesn't truly begin until March 20th. And the launch could be anywhere between March 20th to June 20th. Usually when a game or a movie says they're going to release during a season, but they don't give a certain date, it's in the later part of that season. And they're especially pull this method when they announce releases during a certain quarter out of the year.
So yes the game is coming out kind of soon, but don't expect a release as soon as next month.
Game is coming out March 2nd 2010

Which would make All Points Bulletin's launch announcement invalid and you still haven't given any evidence. Where are you getting this information from?
hahah i see the guy who posted here this morning got deleted due to breaking the NDA. Silly people sometimes. But really looking foreward to this game
There are many sources that state the game is coming out 03/02/10. Among them is ebgames.com,

Go there and scroll down you will see it
EA has officially confirmed APB to be coming out in july-september, go look it up at vg247.
I thought that was just the 360 version...
I thought the PC version was spring

I don't believe they ever mentioned PC being released earlier plus EA usually tells that but who knows? although i believe the july time frame would be better.

no "traditional monthley fee"(in apb's faq sheet)but your still going to be paying something to play it whatever a "flexible gametime path" means(in gamestop's description)
