GAH!!!
I love this game, its addicting, it has catchy music and overall its a great free game...
but My parents got me norton for my new computer and I learned that a complication between the antivirus system and gameguard for Maplestory will eventually destroy the computer
... I hate Norton 360...

disable norton before you play...problem solved.
Cntl+Alt+Del Open Task Manager Kill the Norton.exe Dont do any web browsing and when your not playing the game restart the computer... I honestly dont even use any viral protection software but i understand why your parent would worry.....But im a Windows 7 user.
Another good idea is to see if your ram is maxed Most parent buy a standard computer that isnt maxed. Sadly this will void your computers warrenty unless you had this thing for a while...Plus the installation which most parent wont agree to either because it involves opening the computer.
yes norton is shit but windows 7 is worst! its microsoft!!! microsoft is just shit

microsoft security essential just make sure to check for proper version since they have a bunch of diff version 32 bit 64 bit etc
i had issue with various other anti-virus,with ms security essential no more issue .way better then live one care
and they always search for ways to optimize it we had an update today lol.
dont think this puppy isnt effective because of its simple looking interface its scary effective!
and best of all its free!
i use w7 64 bit and so far its good.only one thing i hate from ms they basicly removed or deactivated any registery or various diff old tweak ,there might be new one but so far it look like we cant optimise or speed up our setting
i ve tried all the old trick and most old trick just slow down computer .we ll see how it goes later
but if you properlly set bios before installing window 7(no ms doesnt supply auto detect and auto set-up for bios yet)then after that window 7 optimize everything automaticly .very often veraious issue can be traced back to bios
check me bios say udma5 even tho it should say sata 1 or sata 2 its that silly!same for lot of bios setting
and my board is a fairly new m4a78t-e i cant imagine someone with an older board
borad vendor just correct bugs but they never update their feature ,if its not broken they dont touch it
wich in my view is screwed up way .one big reason i ll go intell next time around .yes its more expensive but they keep them up to date.unless amd start to do their own motherboard!
