Anyway my problem is, that almost 15-30mins through playing my computer just switches itself off for no reason at all.
Could anyone please help with this issue? its happened twice now :

Is it hot after switching off? Looks like heating problem.

DF really isnt a graphics intensive game, and i played it well with an ati3800 series, but it does sound like an overheat issue I've had with more graphically intensive games with that card.

Doesn't mean its the GPU, it could very well be your CPU overheating. I used to get this problem in random games where my CPU would go up to 80 C and then at that point your computer usually shuts off, or wherever your CPU's heat threshold is.

Your GPU will prob heardly be breaking a sweat. It's the CPU that DFO hammers (always running one core at max to get the most FPS). What's your CPU temps like? Maybe check the temp in BIOS immediately after a crash.

At the moment the temp is about 37degree's, I've just boosted up the fans

So the only other reasons why it's restarting is some virus or bad sectors on you hard drive (or fucked up RAM). Never ever heard of such problem and been lurking DF from beginning.

Run virus scan, repair DF, update your drivers. Google your components and Darkfall to find out if anyone else might be having similar problem. Are you sure you checked the temperature from right place? Core Temp is probably best suited for checking out your CPU temperature levels. Did you check temperature under stress? If you just started up computer and it says 37, I think it's just a bit high. My C2D is overclocked a bunch and it has been on all day with slow fan speed and warm room, and it's actually exactly that.

Waiting on Xsyon & betaing stuff
