No offense, but is GW the only mmo you've played. I have seen 4 of your post and that's all you talk about.

Sent me an email if you want me to mail you some pizza rolls.

Eh guild wars isn't a MMO, the cities are hubs and the rest of the world is instanced.

The game is pretty much like PSU

I must say I am probably on the fence on this one, I like that classes are specialized and a mage will wield a staff to its full potential and probably not a lance.

That being said I dont like the restrictions on weapons like "Lance , Class: Warrior", Lineage 2 did this very well, where anyone could just equip any weapon and armor, sure you dont get the bonus and may even be debuffed but I think it adds to the "sandbox", even if I dont know how to use a shield probably nothing stops me from picking it up and trying. It adds more to balancing on the development side granted but it adds to the player experience.

At the end of the day I dont care either way if they make it one or the other, but if given the choice I would rather the latter.

I hate the idea of a one-weapon class. Classes are normally defined by their skills, which constitute a "role" within the game. Weapons represent "tools" the class uses for various purposes (killing, stat bonuses, etc). The most important part of weapons is diversity, both in the characteristics of the weapon (attack speed, damage, reach) and the models of them (if every spear looks the same, there goes another element of character customization).

A possible counterpoint would be, "Well in most games you have an archer-type who uses bows exclusively and is therefore a one-weapon class." Actually, that's not true. You would be hard pressed to find an archer class in any game who did not also have access to some type of melee weapon. The bow usually represents the tool for the archer to use many of his long-distance (bow-related) attacks, but even so there are usually skills (if not entire builds) around using the melee attacks of the same character.

The same is with Tera. Clases are defined by skills, and skills are using certain weapon types. So even if you could use lance ona a mage, it wouldnt do you any good as mage does not have any skills that use lance.

It works perfectly well as it is. The game is enough fun to play as designed so you dont have to make mele mage or healing archer to make it interesting.

I would rather like developers working on something more meaningful than leting every class use every weapon. There is a lot of work with that, balance issues will come up, so if they stick to current design they can use all that time to do something totally different.
