I just read IGN's review of it. That little spark of interest I had in the game, is gone now. It all sounded fine up until they talked about the combat. One thing I hated about Final Fantasy 12 was the combat system. From the way it was described by IGN, it sounds like a similiar system. Only being able to control 1 person... no thanks. I also miss the old days when enemies weren't shown on screen. You just walked till you got a random battle. I guess the Squaresoft I knew, and loved really is dead. Lost Odyssey the game produced by people that left SquareSoft was more worthy of the honor of being a numbered, Final Fantasy then Final Fantasy 12 or 13.
Its not a similar system its a worse system, basically theve gone back to the classic atb style but dumbed it down to complete retardation, you control one character the other two just spam spells and abilities out dependant on the roles you give them most the time you will you use the auto attack button that chooses the kills that round for you because its just easier. The game might as well be playing itself for you, your just watching. FF 12 had loads of criticism but I think the combat system is better than the one they put in this also at least you could explore the world, do other things, find secrets go to towns ect. And why did they rip out all the stats? You only have Strength and magic now.
It is still better than alot of JRPG's that have come out lately, it aint great but its pretty enjoyable, Its graphics are astouding prob its best feature but tbh I think Lost Odyssey was a way better game than this and prob a more true Final Fantasy than FF13.
Rightttttt...... I am a bad friend, because I find it in bad taste to call me at my job to talk about FF #782637896178..... Gimme a break. I never stopped being a FF fan, just tired of bad FF games, and there hasn't been a good FF game since 7. That is quite a while of ridiculous waste of resources and time on SE side. Regardless, I will still end up buying this bad game also. Just so it can collect dust in my cd case with the rest. That being said how does one buy every game in a series, play and beat every game in a series, and also usually do all side quest in said series, without giving them a chance? You from the county or something?
Talk about a HUGE waste of resources by you buying the games even tho your sick and tired of them. Why not buy somthing new instead and quit wasting your resources on crap you do not even care about anymore?

The key word here is collection. You know, some people collect bobble head dolls, some people collect stamps. Well I collect plastic bear coasters with Final Fantasy printed on one side. I also keep them in really good condition in a sealed up metal cd case. I also keep the original disk cases with manuals. In case I ever want to cash in on my investment/collection.
One day you might see it on ebay: Entire Final Fantasy Collection. All carts, cd across all platforms. The ultimate FF collection can be yours if the price is right.
Other than that, yeah, I played them all through once, and beat them all once. (except tactics I played it twice) No real need for me to keep playing them except I don't want to miss a key in the collection plate that is all.

What you call a waste of resources,I am sure they say was an excellant use of resources since they will be taking it all the way to the bank.
enjoying the game.
Just popped in to say that "parade" scene was pretty badass
I love it
