This game is not for people who just want to enjoy their free time it is for people who have nothing but free time i.e. a life all you do is wait around for shit to happen and it never does. Your gameplay will depend on the faction you choose at the start. Say you join the fdc which is pretty much the army you join patrol groups and run around in circles jump off platforms to be healed up and stand against walls. If you stand away from a wall be prepared to be yelled at by your commanding officer. Seriously you stand against a wall for 10 minutes or in a room for 10 minutes in order to get faction credits and experience. LED is much the same but they just seem to walk around scanning randoms and hoping someone unholsters their weapon so they have something to do. The weirdest part is some people actually enjoy it. I mean i'm all for roleplaying but these guys enjoy roleplaying as security guards. People who enjoy purely crafting/game economics may enjoy that side but there are definitely better alternatives our there.

A lot of people have a hard time adapting to FoM. They go in expecting to see an NPC with a glowing 'Quest' icon on every corner; and, when they don't see that they get confused, frustrated and then blow the "utter crap" whistle. It's funny that new players always join LED or FDC -- the two paramilitary factions, and then get upset when commanding officers try and enforce discipline.

Ok people want to treat it like the military and that is fair enough but my point is that this game is boring as hell, literally nothing happens.. I'd rather be working than playing this shite, and I'm a structural engeineer not exactly the most exciting work around. I mean i tryed to play it for a bit thinking something else would open up but I found there wasn't much to the game at all. The faction objectives just cycle over and over again and involve running in circle standing in same spot for 10 minutes and scan 4 people lol. Seriously someoen should make an advertisement on the gameplay and it would look like a joke. When you get bored of that you can try your hand at crafting, click on screne put enegery to 4 and wait. I'd like to hear what people actually like about the game though. Maybe some people enjoy waiting around for nothing to happen.

this is what people like about the game:

law enforcement department and freedom defense corps defending from a jail break by eurocore and the brotherhood

brotherhood defending eurocore against the mercs and colonization and mining guild

colonization and mining guild raiding eurocore on andromeda

mercenaries taking titan station from the brotherhood and hired mercenaries and the colonization and mining guild raiding pegasi 51 while eurocore and hired mercs defend

bos defending against a martial law on their home colony, and retaking titan station from the mercenaries

guardians of mankind, vortex inc and brotherhood defending titan station from mercenary raid and guardians of mankind and vortex inc defending the guardians home colony.

 

you joined the game during a time of peace, which doesn't last long at ALL. not only that but you played it for one day. currently, the fdc and led are actually at civil war over the newly elected president and senate. there's also rp related things you can do, the brotherhood has a department dedicated to causing trouble mafia style in new york and tokyo, there's a senate that passes laws etc. this game isn't for people who can't create their own fun. no glowing exclamation marks here.
