Do atleast 20+ minutes cardio every morning/afternoon/evening/hell even midnight before or after playing darkfall. (Recommend before) Quit being Lazy fatasses.

I figure this has to be a total fabrication, because no one with a family can play an MMORPG 12-15 hours a day. (and if the OP really is doing that its time to smash the keyboard and get some help)

I dont play darkfall, but for the obesity mmoluva, this is your problem.

Me, when i started playing mmorpg's, i didnt even had the time to eat. I started eating 1 to maximum 2 time a day. I lost the habit to eat each breakfast time. I either eat 1 or 2 time a day. Sometime, ppl will say im annorexic because i start losing weight.

I played football for around 7 years old and always had been around 190 lbs. Now, im still around 190 simply because i dont have time to eat while i play mmorpg's. When i got time, i do some amounts of push ups. 5 minimum if im lazy, 40 maximum if i want to, but i do 10 most of the time. Then, i do some set up and shadow boxing. Shadow boxing to me is better then running around my house since im too lazy to even get out my house to run around the corner. At school, i play basket ball with my friends and it help.

I take the time to do some work out when ever i expect a loading screen to take longer, when i have no choice, but to stay afk for a while.

So MMOluva, i just ask you, you dont even need to work out hard. You just dont need to eat that much when you play a mmorpg. OK wait a sec, we are talking about darkfall online here. Darkfall online grind is so boring that you want to eat to entertain yourself more. So MMOluva, the way you play darkfall, i cant believe that you enjoy it. If you play a fun game, like me, you will forgot about eating. Trust me on that one, i know.

When my internet was shut down for a couple days, watching tv or playing my single player game wear so boring, i had to eat simply to entertain myself more on the taste and not simply to stay healthy.

Simply because darkfall have the most boring grind. IT still have the best pvp so far, but i dont want to be a water boy for the rest of my life on the battlefield. I didnt mind about losing gears, i was in a guild anyway. I just cant stand playing a game when progressing for someone like me is like impossible after you reach a point.

Now, im jumping on mortal online simply because they got no grind on stats and skills. There is a cap. Currently, the desync lag is a problem, but i believe it wont be a problem when open beta will be over.

Dude do what I did. Buy (or download) P90x and work out an hour a day while keeping an eye on your DF screen.

I Even have a Tower 200 hanging on my door that i use about 15 minutes a day in between downtime.

It's your fault for getting fat while playing, get off your ass and do something.

Harsh but true. I work from home so I spend most of my day infront of my computer. If I didn't exercise I would look spookydom the hut in a matter of months. it just comes down to disaplining yourself. Eat healthy and exercise, even if its just getting your heart rate up for 15 mins a day.

My brother started playing Ryzom (which is also grind heavy) and in a year gained over 70 pounds.

He switched to drinking only water and i bought him a set of resistance bands for 20 bucks. He stands up like 20 minutes a day and uses them in between Team hunts and has lost not only the 70 pounds but an additional 30.

You would be shocked at what a slight change in diet and a lil excercise could do to a persons body.

This is why im saying tis the Op fault. Ryzom is just as grindy as Darkfall so there's no excuse to let yourself go.

Remeber these are video games and your health should always come first.

True 'dat. Especialy as you get older. Your body doesn't do what it used to be able to do. It doesn't say how old the op is on his profile but im guessing if he has a family , like me he may be no spring chicken anymore. So it becomes extra important to look after yourself........Grinding can kill you....literaly:)

I started thinking how can this be possible?  I play all sorts of mmo's and have never noticed something like this before.  Then it occurred to me that I really don't do anything at all in this game but watch my screen for 12-15 hours a day which is more than any game I've ever played previously.  I eat a lot of fried chicken, fiery hot cheetos and grape kool-aid while I play these types of games but I guess I move around a lot more during the other mmo's.  I write this to find out if anyone else is having this problem and to help the Darkfall community by bringing this issue to the forefront.  I'm starting to question if my real life health is a factor that might detour me from reaching my in-game goals or if I should cut my game sessions to 8-10 hours and see if it has an effect.

Would you cutback or quit a game if you were gaining 8.5 LBS per month?

Seriously dude....you need to get your priorities striaght. I realize this is a troll post but the funny thing lots of people probly play this way. Whoever said you have to be the best before you can start pvping? I'm 3months in and pvp regularily with my clanmates when I can. Try joining a good clan and grouping when you can....and vent imo is pretty much a must in DF otherwise your wasting your money and time. Its as far from a solo pvp MMO as you can get....

Instead on snacking on crap while playing, get some healthy snacks (carrot sticks, apple slices, etc).

You can be a chair sitting lump for 12 - 15 hours a day, but it doesnt mean you have to be unhealthy.

Massive skill grind, with rare competitive pvp = DF gameplay. No lame quests, level treadmill, just skill spam.

    Incredibly shallow, yet incredibly addicting.

    I'm not kidding.

I often ride my static bike while harvesting.

Hehe, good one, kudos to OP. Well, I reluctantly agree with him. It's one of the main reasons why I won't subscribe to this game. Of course, the central problem here is playing DFO without a guild, and being guildless in this game is simply wasting time... lots of time. There's not actually a lot of choices in DFO, even though it proclaims itself to be a sandbox game. Even if you try to wholly devote yourself to PvE, you'll run into PvP sooner or later, whether you want to or not. And quests/mobs beyond the racial starting areas again require guild organization. Yeah, I watched my character harvesting for hours and hours, attentively observing the rise of my various skills and realizing it would take a whole year (provided I play guildless all the time) to have a slight chance in PvP... meh, screw it.

Well, mmoluva, either quit or find a serious guild with military-type of organization. If you indeed play that much per day, then surely you have time for a guild. I certainly don't have the time (it's not even theoretically possible) to be in 2 guilds in 2 MMOs.

I thought this would be my off-MMO (in other words, secondary), something to keep myself busy while having off-raid days in WoW. Boy oh boy, was I wrong. It must be vice versa, in fact - WoW as an off-MMO and DFO as your full-time job.

I sincerely hope Aventurine makes this game sandbox in the true sense anytime soon. Way too much emphasis on PvP.

I bought a Netbook today hoping to make a life style change.  I'm hoping I can run Darkfall on the Netbook but the store I bought it at told me it might not run.  Then I told them I wouldn't really be running around but swimming into a rock for 12-15 hours he told me it will probably work.  I bought the lightest one they were selling hoping I can jog with it in my hand watching for GM's.  I figure it's the only option I have if I'm ever going to reach my goal of actually being able to PVP and lose a few pounds along the way.

I just pray that if I ever consider playing a game on a computer while I'm jogging, my friends will be kind enough to beat me over the head with a stick until I come to my senses.

I stopped reading right about here, every post you've made is bitching or whining about something of the game.

I've played roughly a month+ and i've 0 complaints about the game, no grind, nothing.. im enjoying it wholly and i'm always surprised when i look at my stats or skills (because i rarely look at them) how nicely i've developed.

Judging by what you've been writing, your single goal in the game seems to be high stats, and if so, then you're in the wrong game, i suggest WoW or any other game that has an endgame goal of a certain level.

In my 1+ month experience i've already seen a guy from our clan rage quit because of "stats" and magic being OP... lol, this is what happens when you play the stats and not the game.

So i assume all DF players do the same drill from the biginning to the end. Some will take the macroing and babysit path, some will take the endless path grind. Now, i understand when ppl claim DF is not a sandbox mmorpg.

Wait, dont tell me to go back to wow, my home is in Mortal Online. There is absulutely no grind. Its just the desync lag that need to be fixed.
