It used to be standard some years ago but nowdays i can't seem to find any questless MMO. You know any? Up to 10 quests total it's alright, but no more.

EVE.....we have more than 10,. (we call them missions) but all are completely optional. Some folks have played for years and rarely done them.

I'm curious, why don't you want quests? They advance the storyline... the main reason many people even play MMOs. That's probably why quest-less MMOs don't really exist anymore.
Without quests you're pretty much just running around killing boars. Just MHO...

You need a well designed sandbox game IMO.. which is rare these days.. good luck..
I am gonna kill boars without a quest specifically telling me so... i ve gone mad i tell you!

If quests actually had a decent storyline they might not be so bad. The problem with many quests today is they are just tasks telling you to go kill mob X in location Y for reward Z. Telling me that I can have a pair of obselete gloves, 42 silver, and 300XP is not advancing any storyline.
Whats wrong with killing boars? Is the act of killing boars made more fun because some random NPC told you to kill them? If they are too easy or too difficult to fight then yeah that might be boring. But what if each boar you fought was actually a fun, challenging fight and offered you a decent reward whether it be experience or crafting resources?
I find it much more entertaining to engage in combat than just running errands for random NPCs, but I do appreciate a good quest. By good quest I mean something similar to the epic quests in EQ.
Yer crazy! You can't just go around killing boars all nimbly-pimbly!
@ Murashu... the killing boars line was just a feeble attempt at humor pulled from the South Park WoW episode....
I find grind quests mind-numbing. Kill "X" number of mobs... blah blah... no argument there! But quests that advance the story such as the destiny quests in AoC or the world quests from WotLK (Varimathras taking over UC for example) are fun and make leveling a little more compelling.

You could play Lineage 2 and just do class transfer quests and sub class quests and that's pretty much it.
Other than those types of quests it is a grind game and you don't really need to do any quests.

Last I played, The Saga of Ryzom only had tutorial quests and a couple of other quests.
