I want your Majesty 2 opinions!

Is it worth buying? I loved Majesty. I've read nothing, but bad things about Majesty 2.

Is it worth playing? Yes.

Is it worth buying at full retail price? No.

 

I had a great time when I first started playing, but once I got maybe halfway through it became a real chore to play. It was just so repetitive - you're fighting the same enemies, there's hardly a variety in buildings to choose from, you're using the same strategies (such as what and where to place your buildings/spawn heroes). It's just your average flash tower defense game, but with better graphics.

Each mission you build your town exactly the same.. which sucks about this game, as I love building towns. And for me, I always chose the same heroes. Which brings in another issue, is that whenever your hero reaches a certain level (around 10+), he pretty much becomes an unstoppable machine.

 

It did have a nice feel, though. I will give it that. I loved the fantasy vybe - such as the taverns, the look of the buildings, the enchanting of weapons, the sound effects, the enemies, etc. It's a great game to kill time, but personally, I wouldn't want to buy it.

 

EDIT: Should note that I've never played the first one.
