Sony Online Entertainment today announces a partnership with Japanese doujin game publisher Rockin' Android to distribute their indie-fueled software on the PlayStation Network.  Rockin' Android primarily localizes Japanese doujin shoot 'em ups (lovingly coined "shmups" by fans) for the North American PC gaming market; their selection of titles are available for download at online storefronts like Direct2Drive and GamersGate.



Now SOE has invited Rockin' Android to bring their localized selection to the PSN, marking their big console debut.  The only title confirmed for a PSN port thus far is GUNDEMONIUM Collection, a package of three shmups developed by Platine Depositif: GUNDEMONIUM Recollection, GundeadliGne, and Hitogata Hapa.  As those of you more familiar with the doujin shooting scene may have guessed, each of the three games included in GUNDEMONIUM Collection naturally put you in the shoes of cute anime girls packing serious heat as they ride a highway to the danger zone also known as "bullet hell".

In other words , SOE is buying and hosting the game on the PSN on The PS3. That ain't working , thats the way to do it.
