Big Rumor Question???

I've been hearing alot of rumors about NCSOFT that they are working on an MMO for SONY. It's a known fact that NCSOFT has signed a contract with SONY on MMO titles. Besides that point, don't "Blade & Soul" look like a game that you would play on a console. So in other words...I think "Blade & Soul" might be that game that NCSOFT is working on for SONY's PS3. I mean the trailer explains itself, including the contract with SONY...so who knows at this moment, but I might be right though. PS3 is a powerful system and can run a graphically impressive game along with that. So it might be a possibility that NCSOFT is creating a big MMO title for the PS3... :)

    I think there would be a possibility that they would make it dule platform (both PS3 and PC). Like Enix did with FFXI, but I don't think they would only make it PS3 compatible. It would really narrow down their demographic if they did. Plus, it'll probably run smoother on a nice, upgraded PC, compared to a non-upgradeable console, xD.

    Yeah, this would be that game. When they mad e the very first announcements of this game and the first video back nearly 2 years ago (i believe it was at E3 or something, in June 2008), they had said it was going to be for both the PC and PS3, and last i knew they were sticking to it. Unless those plans have changed recently, we can expect this to be hitting both PC and PS3.

    Edit: Strange, now looking for it, i seem to only be able to find "rumors" and "unconfirmed reports" that it will be for PS3, but i very much remember it being official from the E3 2007 announcement. When i saw it was going to be for both i was like omfg awesome, and even had a bunch of friends/guildies check it out for that exact reason.

    Another Edit: Ok, I was able to find this from an article which was reported by several gaming sites back in February of this year:

    "As Kim Taek Jin, CEO of the Korea-based NCsoft, disclosed in the conference call that was held in the morning of Feb. 9, 2010, the console versions of Blade and Soul and Guild Wars 2 are currently undergoing smooth development, but this doesn't mean the company already has related selling plans. Kim Taek Jin's such statement is quite different from what he said in the conference call held in Feb., 2009, i.e. "We won't make any decision before getting confidence about the development of the console versions"."

    So looks like while B&S (as well as GW2) is being developed for consoles, they dont have definite release plans for it yet. I dont really see why it wouldnt happen though, at the very least i would assume they could seperate the console & PC versions if there are some issues, much like they did with having seperate servers in PSU (Phantasy Star Universe)for Xbox and PC/PS2 players.
