Keyboard Turner or Mouse Turner?

uquipuuquipu Member Posts: 1,516

To get to the next PvP level in WoW, I had to forsake my keyboard turning ways for mouse turning. Keyboard turning, usually pressing the A or D key turns your toon slowly around like a barge while mouse turning can spin you around on a dime.

Anyway, that freed up the A and D key for other uses so playing a druid at the time, I hotkeyed A to turn me into a bear and D to turn me into a panther. For the longest time after that, every time I wanted to go left I turned into a bear and every time I wanted to go right I turned into a cat.

I usually like to avoid making things slow and difficult.  So mouse.

I tend to use both keyboard and mouse. Majority of the time I'm using my mouse to turn but I sometimes just like to only use one hand and so I'll kind of go on auto pilot with just WASD and hotkeys. On the reverse I'll also go with one hand with the mouse and just click all my abilities and move by holding both mouse buttons. I guess only when I'm serious I will use both mouse and keyboard too its fullest.

I use both, though I have noticed I keyboard turn around sometimes when I am tanking with my warrior.

Keyboard is unbelievably slow especially in PVP. I'm constantly whipping my camera around 100mph with my mouse to get an idea where people may be coming from.

If you want to be all you can be, you definitely want to learn to use mouselook.  In PvE I get lazy sometimes and just move around with keyboard, but that's usually when I'm eating with my other hand lol.

I set A/D keys to strafing and use the mouse for turning.

As a hunter I have to use Mouse for turning/looking, keyboard for forward, back & sidestep, hot keys for abilities.. although when I don't need to move I normal use the mouse for my abilities.
