So I caved and thought I would try this game one more time. I downloaded the launcher and set it to download the game, and it could not even get two percent through the process before it got to a file it could not decompress. After three uninstalls and retries, I gave up. It is just more evidence that this game does not have itself together, even now. That worries me. I was hoping, because it is such an enjoyable game.

From what I understand the launcher is crap (can I say that on TV?) and you'd be better off using an alternate method to download the game.

Hey guys, I'm going to reroll here definately, I haven't played this game since beta so I'm looking forward to it. However, I have found it really hard to find a good resource on what each class is and does, and why I should play each one. I am leaning towards a melee character, most likely a tank, but I can't find enough info that differentiates them all. Anyone have some good info on the melee classes (not just tank). I would really like to figure out what to play prior to jumping in and just going with whatever I pick.
Also I've been reading race is very particular is well so, I was curious what are the best races for the melee classes as well.

The EU pop seems to be quite decent actually. I know of several EU people in the guild, and I've yet to hear complaints about people not being on. In fact, I've heard the opposite that in After Hours there are people on all day & all night, so... I don't think you'll have a lot of issues.
We did just take on Ganl as a EU recruiter, so he should be on at some point in the EU hours. I know we have another EU recruiter, but alas I forget who it is.
Just keep keeping an eye out and /join mmorpg because if you ask there, sometimes people will catch it (though that channel is no longer really used for chatting, since everyone is pretty much in the guild now. :P)
I've been on the trial for a while and just resubbed, so after I finish downloading the whole game I'll be on, not sure what name I'll be but I'll contact someone in the guild.
I've got a lvl 35 Psi and a lvl 18 Necro that I'll probably move over from Xeth to Seradon to join you guys.
In the meantime I'll roll a Shaman or some other class on Seradon to start playing with you there.

Anyone know what happened with this guild? I didn't play for a month or so and since coming back a week ago haven't seen anyone. Where did everyone go?
For me, I had very little time and only enough time for one game so concentrated on LOTRO for a while. When I came back hardly anyone was there.
My guess is that the guild was founded on the idea that we'd just get a lot of players together and if people wanted to group up or do things they would make it happen.
What seemed to happen is that a lot of smaller groups, couples, etc ended up doing their own thing and there wasn't a "leader" of sorts as that really wasn't the idea. So without someone to fill a leadership role and make things happen for people, it was hard for some to get any momentum.
On top of that, there were people who had very different ideas on what they wanted and what direction they wanted to head.
One example was that one individual was concerend that people were taking their time on the island and lower levels and he wanted to realy push toward a more end game type of thing.
It just goes to prove that a successful guild must be of like minded people who expect like minded boundaries and game play.
In any case those are my impressions. The guild is still there and I do see that people log in from the guild roster but it no longer functions as "a guild". At least not at the moment.
