I don't have a cd or dvd drive. I install everything via usb. I was thinking about getting a laptop just in case I had something on a CD I needed to get.
HDD: I have a 500g western digital, and a 60gb SSD (corsair). The last SSD I had failed in about 8 months, but the seagate baraccuda I bought lasted about 4 years. That's unheard of. It actually wasn't bad at all. I just replaced it because I didn't want to deal with having to replace it later. Instead of jumping on the terabyte bandwagon, I am going to stick with lower storage space for now. When I get the money, I am going to get a storage server for my house. From there I can store all my crap, and run websites and ventrilo / mumble servers from there.
I run x2 asus monitors at 1920x1080. Two is great, but three is best. I only have one graphics card though, and I didn't want to stress my card with a x3 setup.
Case is a Thermaltake LANBOX Lite VF6000BWS micro ATX case, hooked up to a 47 inch LCD TV.
Wireless keyboard and mouse G700 from logitech
The tv is mounted on the wall and the computer is up high on the ledge that seprates the kitchen and the living room, our whole house is baby proofed becasue we have twins!
Built a new system for my wife's Creative Suite/Photoshop hobby. Originally we were going to forgo any real gaming capability but in the end we decided if we were going to build a new system we might as well do it proper. The case was chosen because my wife wishes to paint it at a later date and thus a "blank canvas" was important. Anyway here it is:
You should be warned that Vista will mishandle SSDs. I don't recall the details off hand, but if the upgrade to a newer version of Windows isn't coming soon, you might want to read up on it.
32" Samsung 5 series TV 5ms i believe it was, 22" LG flatron 5ms and then my little laptop for browsing when playing games lol oh and i almost forgot the HP g3 server..

Looked around a bit and while there were various things listed this topic seemed to be the most common...
Is what you are referring to and if not could you elaborate a bit so I can narrow my search? The reason I ask is because at this point if there isn't a NEED to pay for the upgrade my wife and I are perfectly fine with the perfomance she has under Vista. We can of course upgrade as originally intended but unless there is a specific reason (currently, not something which has since been addressed and remedied) I don't see us throwing away money for little gain over a perfomance level we are happy with.
Its a tangle of wires but thats cuz I lug it around every week and I got sick of cleaning up the wires after the 4th week lol.

Its my first case mod, took a while to complete but think it turned out good in the end, its a modded In-win Dragon rider case
It is a nice set up.... it does not look that expensive.
Everything he listed I have better than... and I bought all this shit almost 2 years ago.
Now that you mention it, there is a definite resemblance to the Dragon Rider case. Yours looks cooler than a standard Dragon Rider case, though.
