DDO Account management issue *** Do not sign up to DDO right now***

Just wanted everyone to know that there is currently an issue with Dungeons and Dragons Online for the last 5 days.

This has affected people who have paid for Turbine Points which upgrades your account from a Free 2 Play to a Premium account

It stems from an non standard update that took down the servers and forums for best part of a day between 26th-27th (depending on timezone). Since the service was brought backup a "small" (Turbines term) number of accounts have been downgraded from Premium back to F2P which in turn takes away the benefits of a Premium acount (number of character slots, auction rights, gold capacity etc etc)

which as you can see has little to no information from any Turbine representatives (I think there may be 4 offical posts in the entire thread !!)

There seems to be a few people who have had the issue fixed manually but worryingly there seems to be people who have been OK for the pst few days but are now experiencing the same issue.

 

So this is a warning to anyone considering signing up to the game that you may want to hold off until this issue is fixed.

 

And yes I am a very disgruntled Premium account holder on DDO who is trying to make this more publicly aware in the hope that Turbine actually do something about this sooner rather than later. My patience has worn too thin after waiting 5 days.

    Been trying to make a account for like 2 hours whit no success ... getting tons of errors whille trying to make one .

      I  Started well upgraded my account to VIP and still havn't gotten the first 500 turbine points yets, it has been around 2 weeks now. I am still waiting to hear one way or the other on the why I didn't get the very first alotment of points. I was going to buy more points , but not till I am sure I can even get what I paid for in the first place.

              UPDATE--   I finally got my first 500 points  after about 2 weeks of waiting.

    A "known issue" for DDO, and known for over a year is the issue of using a UltimateGameCard for DDO.

    You buy the card, you get the code from PayByCash and Turbine won't let you use it without calling

    their local number for support, Dedham Massachussets.   Live anywhere other than there and you're

    looking at a massive longdistance call, on hold for long times to resolve the issue of trying to give them

    money to play their game.

    This not a blast of PayByCash - they did their job excellently.  The problem is TURBINE INC
