Download just hi-res pack after normal client installed?

I know this question gets asked a lot but is there a way to download just the client_hires.dat file or upgrade the normal client install to the high res client? I don't want to redownload the entire 4.8GB hi-res client if there's a way to get just the hi-res texture pack after already installing the normal client.
