I was watching all the videos for this game as I am REALLY excited about it, and I noticed the detail of some of the Light Sabre and the starships. Maybe they could add crafting to this game where you can customise weapons based on the parts that make them up, such as the energy core of a light sabre, the barrel of a blaster, etc. Also, they could add different rooms and sytles for the ships you can add and allways allow you to add to it. The problem I see is harvesting. Would it just be random loots or physical objects that you interact with to pick up, or more like the classing harvesting where you might mine ore or cut down a tree? And I would appriciate it if there wasn't some stupid minigame where you just click a few buttons and a part comes out... I'd like to see phyically tampering with a material until it is flawless, or not, which creates the quality grade.

They stated in the vids today that crafting and all core elements will be in. Sadly they have the design and if you buy you will be playing what they put in the game. Best way really. To clarify they have not discussed ship customisation at all just charachter customisation.

Good to know it will matter somewhat. I do wonder what the twists will be.
I really love crafting and trading - but these seem like they are going to be bolted-on additions to this game.
I mean, what? Is my Sith Marauder really going to be the best chef in the galaxy?
Unless they pull something really remarkable out of its hat, I just don't think this Bioware game is going to lend itself to credible crafting like SWG or Vanguard.
