Free days?

spaceshipratspaceshiprat Member Posts: 4

If I sign up to the game site, will it start counting down my free days? I want to use the forum but I can't play yet for a month because I'm too busy.

I want to ask some things like:

I heard that if you stay in the training area you don't have to pay (I don't think I believe this)

Do they delete your account if you don't subscribe soon?

What happens if my little sister with a different computer that uses the same router, will she be able to have her own account and  free trial days?

Thank you if you can answer any of these questions!

I suppose once u create a trial account, it will start counting the days, so I would wait when you get less busy before creating one, or, just create a new account once you are ready.

No more. This was true with the previous owner. Now you have a 21 days free trial with no content limitations (that means, during the trial you can leave the training island and do whatever you want till the time expires).

    I don't think so.

    Yes.

Thank you if you can answer any of these questions!

Ty! This game looks so intriguing to me, I don't play MMORPGS a lot, I prefer to explore, gather and craft rather than fight all the time. I love the idea of mobs with intelligent behaviour, and the different atmospheres because of the season/day/weather changes.

I play Ryzom here and there.

I get tired of the grinding and how solo minded most players are with the exception of Events and outpost battles.

OP I would suggest waiting until you have time to put into the game before signing up.

Ryzom requires a massive time investment.

    Well,

I think Ryzom can be a good game for you.

Exploration is very challenge, harvesting, despite it's a bit furstrating at beginning, is unique in the MMO genre and requires personal experience to do it right, crafting requires experimentation to find best recipes. It can be grindy only if you try to rush to a master.

Take Ryzom as a virtual world and don't try to rush for the masters, meet and chat with other people, and you can get some good playtime there.

Game is sandbox so be prepared to organize your playtime by yourself, don't expect the game telling you what you have to do or you will feel lost.

That's ok. I am used to Runescape more than WoW style games. I just hope it isn't too frustrating, when you die. What do you lose?

I'm wondering if a version for linux is possibly going to be completed, otherwise I will have to fix my Windows partition.

There is a death penalty, but nothing really bad, as long as you don't stack it up to the max (10 DPs).

Death penalty is worked off with your experience, but it also slowly decreases over time. Generally people pay off any DP with harvesting skills, because, even not getting exp (used to pay off the DP) you still get useful resources.

1 DP is worked off in around 15-20 minutes.

Many people are playing Ryzom in Linux. If I recall correctly, wine can be setup easy for it, but there are other emulators working well. Check out the forum and the wiki for this.
