I'm dying for a game like Diablo (isometric view) with a radial gunplay mechanic (ala auto assault) where I can just run around and blast things (like Robotron).

Writer / Musician / Game Designer

Now Playing: Skyrim, Wurm Online, Tropico 4
Waiting On: GW2, TSW, Archeage, The Rapture

Shadowrun, or Cyberpunk(the RPG) or any new decent cyperpunk themed MMO with grid/cyperspace, modern weapons, all stuff you can implant, etc and ofc decent character system... They all are bit old now dunno if there is other good settings...

Hmm what about Paranoia, acctualy any sci-fi rpg world... ;D

FLYING ZOMBIE LASER SHARK  IP ALL THE WAYY!!!

I think I actually spent way more time reading and theorycrafting about MMOs than playing them

Still waiting to see DECCENT Star Wars, Star Trek and Warhammer mmo ( Holding breath for wh40k)

Would love to play a decent highlander mmo

Would also give my left nut for a Mechwarrior MMO if it had the original FPS mechanics and customisation of mechs.

Would also like a Halo gears of War mmo again with the stipulation they dont mess with the FPS mechanics already in existence for both ip's, so basically take the games as FPS as they are right now and build an mmo around them.

He-man would be fun mmo if it was aimed at a mature audience.

On a diff note anyone else excited about the lego mmo, not keen on the kiddies running around but this game screams customisation and freedom.

Shadowrun, but only as a non instanced, FFA PvP sandbox....

Oh, and ofc non of the following Studios should do it: Blizzard, Bethesda, Cryptic, Reakktor, NCSoft, etc... they'll just screw it up like everything else they did.

CCP could pull this off, but they're doing it allready with "World of Darkness", so there's no hopes for SR Online anytime within the next 10 years.

Meh about Shadow Run. The two Shadow Run games I've played left so much to be desired that I feel a bit burnt by this IP.

IPs I would love seeing as MMOs: only one on list was Mass Effect but that's waaayyy behind seeing the AD&D Darksun scenario made into a virtual world as well as some others.

I enjoy dark fantasy and Darksun was very different from the usual fantasy fare. The average Darksun PnP game makes Conan look tame: Darksun is a hostile, brutal world. It would have to be done in a more sandbox fashion, with actual socially-based classes mixed in with combat classes for it to work out right in my opinion. I'd love to try out a gladiator or a Darksun bard.

Another AD&D scenario that would be cool to see made into an MMO is Planescape. It's an amazingly flexible world but difficult to do since the more people believe in something, it comes true! It would be interesting for a fantasy game though as you have minor demons, angels, and plenty of weird critters running around places like Sigil, plus the atmosphere of the game is gritty and the technology is more advanced than in the other DnD scenarios.

Cyberpunk, Call of Cthulu, Earth Dawn, the world of The Witcher...

Playing MUDs and MMOs since 1994.

I could see blizzard butchering the a starcraft mmo like they did with warcraft.

Transformer's, Avatar, Harry Potter, Civ's, and Battlestar all could be turned into an mmorpg.  Not that I would like to see Avatar or Harry Potter as an mmo.

Babylon 5. That could be made an awesome MMORPG.

Also Twilight. If you disregard the cheesy love story crap, the conflict between werevolves, evil vampires and good vampires could set the stage for some nice RvR action.

Dracula MMO. The horror genre has not been done well at all and Dracula has a ton of lore and stories that a mmo would be a nobrainer. Dracula, it is the classic horror tale of all time.
