Tera will have collision detection & hit boxes. The hit boxes will vary in size depending on what type of class you will pick, but it will not be as much as the visual size of the char's. The larger races will have larger hit boxes but have a longer attack range (just the opposite for the smaller races) because of there reach.
NOTE: collision detection will not be active in cities or towns
This set up will have a bigger impact for melee classes but for ranged classes ???
Back on topic: I see more westeners upset with cute female char's in skimpy armor than they are with bears.

Since you have to aim to hit them and you can jump they will be harder to hit for ranged classes not impossible but for certain skills were there's no aoe or such they need to have a good aim to hit them.
But if I buy this game I will almost definitely roll one, and if I sub to this game I will most likely end up with a high-ish level one of some class or another. Games do well to add an oddity .. but then maybe I am unlike most in not assuming I need to like everything about a game in order to enjoy it.
LFD tools are great for cramming people into content, but quality > quantity. I am, usually on the sandbox .. more "hardcore" side of things, but I also do just want to have fun. So lighten up already

I don't really like the concept of a "race" having females look like humanoid 10 year olds baked with makeup and skimpy outfits, in addition to the fact that their male counterparts are miniature badgers and pandas. It doesn't make much sense and suggests things about the race that can be seen as disturbing.
I like the way the popori male is, being just a compilation of different cutesy animals, in terms of adding variation to the available player population along while adding some creativity. I would much prefer, despite there being absolutely no chance of it changing, if the females had a similar setup, if only for consistencies sake. A cutesy race like this is great for attracting all sorts of players (young females or... older gentlemen), but there needs to be a limit somewhere. At least when marketing outside of Asia. I'm sure their other more seductive races attract the latter of what this "race" attracts just fine.
The wierder the better. The further from the fantasy MMO baseline we get, the more interesting game play options open up.

It's a Korean game. A cute teddy bear race seems par for the course to me. I don't really care though, I'll pick the hulking juggernaut every time and take great pleasure from smashing the cutesy little doll characters.

Apparently they do not work the same way the other races do, they are more like a type of spirit than a biological species. There's an in depth explination of them on the website or forums somewhere.

Many people don't like dwarfs, but I always tend to find them interesting. Just another take on the dwarf.

I wouldn't mind playing a little old granny with a cane that beats people ass. Just not the popori female. Yes, I understand they are forest spirits and spirits normally get portrayed as childish in behavoir, they like to play tricks and joke. That doesn't mean they need to look like 7 y/o girls. Give me an old granny that likes to play jokes and beat people over the head with her cane instead. :-)
