i'm choosing a new MMO and i narrowed it down to these. i would really like some feedback on the games, maybe a few pros and cons if you could do that. idk how Allods is doing with the CS and FoD issues. i hear great thing about Vanguard but i know it's got a low population. i don't know much about the rest of the games (except WoW).
i like good PvE and raiding, i don't really like games that revolve around PvP. fantasy or sci-fi, cool races and classes, and a decent sized community are a plus. i don't care about player housing or crafting.
thanks

I voted for Vanguard because I love it a lot more than those other games, even with a dead population, but PVP is pretty much non-existant in that game these days to keep my interests.

All of those games either suck, or I haven't bothered to play them yet in order to find out that they in fact suck (Vanguard/Allods).
My recommendation is to spread out your tastes to other games than just the fantasy knockoff crap. You're going to be have the "been there, done that" feeling forever, that is, until you start playing *other* games.

voted Lineage 2 some you wussies casual players stop complaining about grind.
and yes aim drunk and pissed
now: GW2 (11 80s).
Dark Souls 2.
future: Mount&Blade 2 BannerLord.
"Bro, do your even fractal?"
Recommends: Guild Wars 2, Dark Souls, Mount&Blade: Warband, Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning.
Wait a little bit longer for GW2
Try Vanguard anyway. It's worth seeing the different classes, the world, diplomacy and crafting even if you don't stick with it. I don't regret my small time there. It helps give me a better view of the things I like in MMORPGs.
None. I would wait, all those games are unfortunately terrible (besides LoTRo and WoW) but again you are going to get that "been there, done that" feeling and it's just gonna be miserable. I would wait for this next line up of MMOs, FFIV looks superb but you better have a computer price tag to match the FFIV benchmark scores, cause I have a quad core processor in my computer with a Nvidia GTS 250 and 8 gig ram and I got a 2500/8000 I couldn't believe it. Thus I'll be getting a PS3 because of that, anyways I couldn't say I suggest any of those games.
well what's a game that doesn't suck? and i don't really like anything other then fantasy, that's why all the MMO's i'm choosing from are fantasy. lol
You forgot to name the GOOD ones.. Darkfall, Fallen Earth, All Points Bulletin, EVE, Mortal Online, Global Agenda, UItima Online, ya know, the good ones? But the best game from your list is LOTRO, and is still just a decent game.. If I could I would pick none of the above or other..
AoC doesn't suck until you've done it all and start lacking fresh things to do.
Wurm Online doesn't suck unless you have hangups on the lack of avatar customization and lacking animations on models.
DDO doesn't suck unless you get crippling claustrophobia from instances.
Basically, there ARE a ton of good games out there if you are willing to deal with whatever shortcomings there may be.

well i'm waiting for GW2, Tera, Vindictus, and Rift. so i probly wont be playing the game i choose very long. probly should have mentioned that.
darkfall just didn't appeal to me, hear good and bad about APB and i own GA so i would rather play that, not into the whole space ship idea in EVE, didn't like the first person view in Mortal, and i didn't know anybody still played UO. i'm picky.
~and you'll be gameless as well unless you resolve that issue.

i would play AoC but i don't like the nude women (no, i'm not gay). i might try DDO which i forgot to add in the list. =( never even heard of wurm but i'm gunno go check it out now.
Uuuu... buuuut.... uuuhhh.... what?!?!
This is the first time I've heard prudency be a reason for avoiding a game.
~you are destined to be gameless, homeboy.

not really. as long as they're wearing some sort of clothing over their private parts i'm fine.
Maybe give a little information on what you're looking for?
Considering you've put RF Online and Lineage II on your list I suppose you're not one that hates games that take a bit more dedication in order to be successful (which people will call "grinding"), so I voted Aion, I've played both of these and considered Aion to be the next level (mostly compared to RF Online to which I have more experience), open PvP, massive battles, open world bosses, more than one day per level later on, etc.
alright, well i want good PvE and raiding, i don't really like games that revolve around PvP. i like fantasy and sci-fi, cool races and classes, and a decent sized community is nice but not a must have. i don't care about player housing or crafting.
